The EPL is slowly (or perhaps not so slowly) looking like the Bundesliga (Bayern has won it every season since 2013) and in recent history, Ligue Un (PSG has won it every save twice since 2013). Since the 2018 Season City have won every season save 1. No worse than 3rd almost every year save one since 2011 .

We all feared what this much money could do and we're seeing it. It used to be anyone but (Manchester) United, after a few more years of them winning the title consecutively, it will be anyone but City.

They didn't back into the treble like Man Utd, they were dominant all around. The amazing thing to me its rare anyone talks about their financial power as it pertains to their trophies. In America, it was kinda similar with the New York Yankees in baseball. Biggest market, biggest revenue and dominated more or less for decades.

The question for me is lets say City wins the next 4 or 5 straight? I don't see the league being too concerned as long as it makes money. It may affect viewership. May.

Rodri has been sent off….and he will now miss the game with us! That’s huge, he’s a ridiculously important player for them.

13 year old Max Dowman came off the bench to play for the Arsenal U18’s today. A new club record for youngest player

Just ignore City. They aren’t even shipping goals when they are losing players to reds

Mentally half the league are beaten againest them before a ball is kicked

Yep today was an obvious win for them but the Rodri red card is really big for our game with them. I’d go as far as to say he’s their most important player.

Isn't that the referee?

We are all playing for 2nd place. Now they've fixed their defence they are relentless machine, a juggernaut with a freak upfront who looks like a 15 year old playing in an under 10 league.

City might lose the odd game through bad luck, poor refereeing decisions or the opposition scoring a couple of worldies (or a combination of all three) but they aren't losing enough games to make the league interesting.

The only thing that can stop them is some sort of FFP hit but its all gone disappointingly quiet on that one. Their fancy pants lawyers probably have the PL tied up in knots.

Let's be brutally honest, if they are guilty of all these FFP rule breaks over the last decade then that has basically fast-tracked them to where they are now and they should be punished accordingly.

Remember they were charged, fined and banned from europe for 2 years by UEFA for FFP rule breaks and failing to cooperate but that was overturned by CAS with some of these charges allegedly being time-barred. So did they get away with it on technicalities?

I know why they do this but the pundits and sports media talks about City and games as if there is a competition. There isn't. They don't talk about it being a one team league because the tv stations who show the PL games don't want that talked about and it will drive away viewers if they are too honest. I don't know the viewership of Bundesliga games but I have to think the only reason why non Bayern supporting Germans watch is in hopes they lose. It would be my reason. I only watch City till they put the game out of hand or up 1-0 against a weak side.

I would not be shocked if they won the quadruple. It shouldn't shock most. My Man Utd supporting friend says they knew they'd win the treble and were cheering for us as we were the only ones it seemed who could stop them and are now hoping the treble will be retroactively taken away with the penalties.

When City wins 7 or 8 straight, then what? They have won 9 in their history, they'll pass is in the next half dozen years if things stay the same and I'm allowing for the odd title to to go us or Liverpool. The only team that will be able to compete with them in the next few years will be Newcastle because they are as financially doped.

Strangely enough it will take another financially doped team to stop City. Talk about the theory of unintended consequences.

That would seem to be the case ... and yet we almost pipped them last year.

I suppose it depends on just how good Arteta really is.

It also puts into context Arteta's experimentation this season. We we are going to live with City we need to try something special and hope that exceptional luck and great management align.

One game at a time. If we fail to beat Spurs today we'll really have mountain to climb.

My tip for the NLD: 3-1. Must take our chances when we are in the ascendancy.

Rumours are Trossard is injured. Of true then a straight replacement would be Nelsen or Emile Smith Rowe

Sky showing how Utd pressed spurs two inverted fullbacks early on to good effect. Eddie and Jesus makes sense in that regard. I expect them to rotate. Getting really nervous now. Brennan Johnson is going to be a handful I think, we’ve already played him once!!

So many fouls from spurs any time we’re on the ball. Clear slowing tactics

Finally a yellow for a foul on Saka and ode gets one too for asking for a yellow. Infuriating, but just don’t do it.
