If I was Arsenal I'd absolutely ask for a postponement and make it very public, then it will highlight the unfairness when they don't grant it

Nah, I'd play the game. Tottenham haven't been great lately and they're missing Son. We can beat them.

With this patched up squad?

23 minutes we couldn’t do it could we ?

A nil nil would be an incredible result

I'd ask for the postponement to highlight he inconsistency, if they actually agreed then just change your mind and agree to play

Proud of the team tonight. They are giving it everything they've got, can't ask for more than that.

Definitely, if we show the same commitment as today we have a good chance I'd say.

But the limited squad will be exhausted after this immense effort. And we don’t really have an incisive goal threat. Hanging on is a different thing to going off to win.

Excellent GK from Allison, who shouldn't be playing in the first leg of this semi as he had covid when the game should have been played if Liverpool didn't cheat....

Hmmm ...that is all well and good , probably a laudable attribute , but when you have serial , serial , serial offender like Xhaka is damn hard to not groan look skyward :blob9: and scream "Oh My God here we go again .

... when your car breaks down , you book it in for repairs at the local garage . Next time out it does the very same thing .

You say " Oh better luck next time I'm sure you'll get it right eventually "

But tonight was a very harsh decision. I hope I’ve gone past the days of having cars that break down. I’m enjoying our rugged performance tonight rather than childishly squeal about Xhaka.

Saka just missed a fine chance but never mind. Tierney’s attitude is great. Looks like someone who’s trying to get a VC at the Somme.

Tottenham played yesterday with basically a full strength team so energy wise it shouldn't be that much of a difference. A little luck and we'll get Smith-Rowe or possibly Ødegaard back. I think postponing is risky, it will clutter up the schedule and we don't know what shape the squad will be in when the game is actually played. I would just go for it as things stand.

Not the same as us playing for an hour with ten men away at Anfield and being unable to refresh with substitutes.

True, but we'd struggle to be in worse shape. It only has to be postponed a couple of weeks and we'd have 4 players back from AFCON for a start. We've got space in our schedule at the back of the season, no europe, no fa cup

No, it's not exactly the same, my point was that it's not like we'll be up against a completely fresh Tottenham team. I think we're better than them normally, so we could get a result even under these circumstances. Definitely if we play with as much spirit as we're doing today.

What’s the situation with Smith Rowe? I’ve lost track.

You know you've been very good defensively when the opposition are taking desperate pot shots from 35 yards.

Is it worth just protecting Lacazette for the last 10 minutes and giving one of the youngsters a run?

Yes for me.

He’s like holding in as much as he leaves it on the field right or wrong.

Martinelli the part CM, part left mid and part winger.....and doing his defensive duty.

Lacazette as well - very good

Holding and Chambers both suit backs to the walls defending. It focusses their mind on a single job. They lack a bit when you ask them to do more than that.
