Looking good so far. :58big-emoticons:

Ah. Now I feel it creeping up.

2-1 not nearly so good.

This is far closer on the scoreline than it should be.

Need to score another one to kill this off completely, they've barely ventured into our half

Yep. We should have buried them by now.

Especially since they've been a man down for over 40 minutes.

It was such a novel feeling to be winning comfortably ... I hope Top Gun's premonitions were not correct! :8surprise:

Well we’ve had some good chances/openings this half. Just not quite working out. Frustrating.

Cedirc & Elneny are panicking and it shows. Leeds players will keep snapping at their heels.

At one point I was wondering if we could close the goal difference. Now I’m wondering if we can hang on to the win.

We definitely need to become more clinical, but I guess that's part of being a young team as well. We should be up by 3 or 4, instead it's a one goal game after allowing just one shot on goal.

Very well done Gabriel. Very streetwise.

…. And it’s the last action of the game. Phew.

Incredible how this became such a close game, but three points is all that matters. Got the job done in the end.

Very poor. Chance to put a few goals in the bag. Far too casual.

The win is all that mattered but that should have been nowhere near as nervous as it was at the end.

Win at Spurs and we're in the Champions League

Phew!
This was a most difficult second half to watch.
We cannot afford to slacken in the next 3 matches.

The really good news is that Leeds will be fired up for their next game which is at home to Chelsea.

I'm still much more concerned about hanging on to 4th. It might be better if Leeds lose and Everton are safe by the time we play them :icon_eek1:

Hmm. Yes it could be. As always it’s impossible to predict end of season games (including today’s).

I think it is hard to see how Pépé is with us next season. He gave us a vital win at home to Wolves but generally his cameos have been quite poor. I know it is tough for someone just getting 15 minutes every week, Nketiah has proven that but often we're not asking Pépé to change the game we're asking him to see out the result and the one thing you can't do is be anonymous and lose the ball. I think his time is done with us and the club will take a big hit on any kind of transfer fee to get rid of him in the summer. I could see us accepting £25m and I'd back the club to find a winger for £25m who better fits the style, the team and the manager

Pépé's done. We rolled the dice and it didn't work out simple as that. A dice that had to be rolled at the time.
