Brentford are winning 3-1 away to Sperz wearing the ugliest shirts I've ever seen.

One of the best things to be in football is not a Spurs fan. :laughing7: :laughing7:

If you gave Arteta the budget Todd boehly has spent this season or the 500 million more that city have spent over every other club across the last ten years then you are winning titles and champions leagues. It’s not even a question

Imagine if we are signing Darwin Nunez instead of Jesus. Our back up is jota or gakpo instead of Reiss nelson and Nketiah.

This is why it grates me a little when the manager gets slagged off for minimal or minor decisions that are micro analysed

Jesus is better than Nunez. Both are inconsistent finishers but Jesus has a better all round game. Also, Gakpo cost £2 or £3m more than Vieira. We clearly can't match City on transfers but we are definitely in the same market as Liverpool.

My point was more about spending power elevating the squad generally rather than what’s happening at Liverpool or copying them.

That said I would still rather Nunez than Jesus if I’m honest. I think Nunez had an indifferent season but has a high ceiling

Xhaka at left back

Tierney has been left out because we have agreed to sell him to someone. It’s as simple as that. Likely Newcastle. Rumour this week that the transfer will be announced first week of the window.

I cant believe we will get both but it would be a huge statement to get both Duckling Rice and Moises Canciedo. Given how our defence has started leaking goals it would probably go some way to fixing that while providing dynamism and grit to our midfield.

Is that a Chinese dish?

Think it’s more tactical , to control possession more

I really don’t think so as much as Arteta would want you to believe it. You are changing everything.

So it’s kiwior at left back, partey at right back and Ben white plays his first game of the season at centre back. You have unseated 3 of your back 4. Very hard to believe that’s tactical. Why not just keep kiwior and white in their same positions as the last game. Just not logical

Trossard should have scored there

No idea what he is thinking. The one change you would expect, Saka getting a break, hasn't happened.

We have been conceding far too many goals in the second half of the season. I still think we will win this but every game we play seems to be hard fought at the moment.

I completely agree with TG re the line-up. Our left flank is non-existent in an attacking sense.

Has anyone told the Arsenal players, particularly Gabriel, that you are actually allowed to use the left side of the pitch.

Is Reiss Nelson injured or just not in the squad because he's leaving?

Our passing is slow, predictable and lacking incisiveness.

Maybe bring Tierney on at LB, move Jesus wide and put Eddie up top.

Thanks Dec.

He might have been useful today.

Another strange one. He's shown a fair amount of promise this season.

Now we have Tierney, Nketiah and Vieira on for Kiwior, Xhaka and Trossard. Forest 11 men behind the ball and time wasting like there was no tomorrow. Painful viewing.

Mikel has plenty of credit in the bank , but these last two performances have been alarmingly shocking

What happened to this Arsenal team?
Too slow in their build up in attack. Used to be running past opposition easily.

A poor, soft few weeks to give up the league title.

Hopefully management and players will learn from this and be even better next year.

Overall though, a massive, massive improvement.

It is like he is aiding the opposition in both games.
Let BHA have the points to get past Spurs and into Europe.
Let Forest stay up.

Priorities for next year are a centre mid and a striker who can score goals.

Neither Jesus nor Nketiah are good enough.

Ending the season with a bang would have been nice, but this hasn’t even been a pop.

A whimper is a hugely disappointing final act.

The players have let themselves down this past few games.

What a waste of time watching Arsenal these last 2 games
Nothing to get excited about for 180 minutes

Well, that was a shitshow wasn't it.

We must have broken the world record for the most number of sideways and non-progressive passes in a single PL game.

Forest are shite but we barely laid a glove on them and our supposed title-run in has turned into an absolute embarassment.

Arteta must be scratching his head, not that his line-up, tactics and in-game management helped matters today.

I wouldn’t be so sure , there were plenty in the later Wenger years just like this

The thing that frustrates me is that there are probably a few players who may be considering joining Arsenal who might just be having a second look at other offers after the nature of this run-in collapse.
