That was a great pass from Elneny. Nketiah 's attempt wasn't too far off.

Nketiah has to score there. Great ball by Elneny.

Nearly exquisite. Ball from Elneny and movement and finish by Eddie.

Feels like we need another goal to win this. Not really sure why, because they haven't created much at all, but there's just this feeling that they'll score with the one chance they'll get.

Eddie determined to score today. Keeping West Ham occupied and honest.

He's done very well again today. Forced Fabianski to 3-4 saves now I think, and a couple of them have been good ones.

We've had 7 shots on target vs 3 for them.

Hmmmm. Great move. Well done Tavares for clearing the danger.

Best not to mention Lakonga’s shot.

We’ve finished with three of our first choice back four missing. And have the win.

Totally brilliant. I had feared that we would come unstuck in this fixture. Played it out well.

Chelsea may be looking over their shoulders now.

Yes!! HUGE win, this puts us in a great position for next week. Not the prettiest win I've seen but we kept Wet Ham from creating anything at all in that second half.

Weird since the international break. We lost three games that were ‘winnable’ and have now won three that were ‘losable’.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves :laughing7: :laughing7:

Edit: gosh, I didn't see that they lost to Everton.

...which gives me a certain amount of anxiety about the next 4. I still feel it is pretty much coin toss between us and Spurs.

This team is showing some big balls. Beat Chelsea away, Man U at home and West Ham away in the space of 11 days. Spurs would have been rubbing their hands looking at those fixtures thinking it was a certainty we’d drop at least some points somewhere

It really is. A lot hinges on Liverpool turning it on against Spurs. We’ll have all written that down as a spurs defeat and will assume we will beat Leeds at home. It really can’t and won’t be that simple. But to go in to the NLD with a 5 point lead would be incredible. 1 game at a time and Leeds are going to be fighting for their lives next weekend

I was going to write this a while back, didn’t but it feels even more apt right now. For all the talk of our small squad and lack of quality depth and a reliance on the likes of Saka and Emile Smith Rowe for goals….there has been a real unsung hero about our run in so far.
Nketiah stepping in and doing the business v Chelsea
Tavares and Xhaka with their first goals of the season v Man U
Holding stepping in many times to see out the win and getting his goal today.
Elneny coming in and solidifying our CM when we were cursing the loss of Party
Cédric we were probably all worried about when Tomiyasu got injured and he hasn’t let anyone down.

The quality might not be as good as we want (on paper) but there is a togetherness, character and fight in this team that is to be hugely admired.

I was waiting for it and Chris Sutton the resident grouch has provided it…..”Arsenal celebrating like they’ve won the league….deary me”

Reactions like this make it all the more sweet

Only 3 points behind Chelsea in 3rd. I don’t think that is doable really, it would need chelsea to drop points in 2 of their remaining 4 games and us win all 4 because of their GD. Plus their run in is 3 home games and away to Leeds. They’re in a rut right now.

I’ll be over the moon with 4th for now

Well done Arsenal. Europa league secured for next season which was the realistic target at the start of the season. I found it a difficult watch today as we werent creating much, but what an important win that was. Champions League qualification is still on a knife edge as every game seems precarious for us, the Spuds and maybe even Chelsea given their recent league form.
