Worried about Westham. The type of game where we expect them to be not as fresh, have rotation of players and if our players start thinking like this it is a worry. I just hope Arteta does not feel the need to make style changes in order to outthink Moyes.

I too prefer Liverpool’s style of football. Indeed, I never really enjoyed Barcelona’s football when Guardiola was there. I even felt Bayern became quite boring to watch under him, as did Beckenbauer I recall. Now under City it’s similar despite all their great players.

But for me it isn’t about the style of football. I just find Liverpool an insufferable club and can’t stand their fans. I can understand the media’s admiration for them, but don’t share it and find it stomach churning. I want City to win the league, 100%. Despite them being financially doped, which is simply a factor in football currently and one that I hope will conclusively apply to Arsenal.

By the way, I don’t know what word *%^@** represents, but the fact that it’s automatically been censored out means it’s an obscene way of describing those who want City to win the title. Why somebody has to resort to such language to describe people who want City to win it is beyond me.

I would find City constantly and boringly getting 100 points per season and us never winning the league again, far harder to put up with than the occasional bragging of Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea or even (perish the thought) Totts fans.

The fact that the EPL is still competitive is something I enjoy (even if Arsenal aren't contenders). I think it is what makes it so massively popular around the world, and hence contributes to its great strength, not just of the top clubs either. So well done to Liverpool for doing a very good impersonation of Horatius at the bridge.

I also think it is vitally important that you try to understand the distinction between money laundering and investing in club.

Over here there are Liverpool fans who mention the CL non stop and apparently there was no Wenger or Ferguson era at all. They tend to suggest the only things that count are the titles in the old days and CL success now. I don't even know any Man City fans. F... them all. I know a fan who suggests we cheated by playing rough on the day we won to 2-0 at Anfield.

Being worth more than it was before is not a very precise measure. Provided it is not caught, any business is likely to benefit from having money laundered through it.

No I don’t. You’re hiding behind semantics. If Arsenal are spending money because of having a multi-billionaire owner that it wouldn’t have been able to spend if solely relying on the club’s own resources, then we are being financially doped as I understand that term to mean.

You seem to be trying to associate the term ‘financial doping’ with how owners obtained their vast fortunes. I find that a tacky morality as it is something different.

I disagree. Bayern have won the German league a million times in a row. PSG fans don't even both to celebrate when they win the league title. It’s not about neutrality. It’s the diametrically opposed articles from the same journalist in successive years. In one he argues that domination is bad, and the other that it’s good.

Both teams have struggled offensively so far. Not enough players making runs, the passing isn't quick enough or sharp enough, but both teams are also keeping their shapes and defending well. Looks like it will be a tight affair, but we should have an advantage as the game goes on, since six of their players played three days ago.
