That seemingly insurmountable goal differential is down to 2. I said a while back that I feared they'll close it within a reasonable amount because of the ease of their games compared to ours. If or when we beat Man Utd its unlikely to be more than 2 goals no matter what form they are in and we are in. We've just not been able to beat them like that when we had a good or great time usually.

Anyway, as long as we win.

I’m not sure what the long term plan is. Maybe as was suggested it’s to get rid of ‘legacy’ fans. However the recent provision by the club to not only sell but particularly transfer a ticket to a friend has been very useful to me this season as it means I’ve not wasted a single ticket. The 10% charge is annoying but not extortionate.

Ticket exchange is useful and I have had to unfortunately use it a bit more this season. I just wonder what happens when the circumstances change. In wengers last couple of seasons apathy had set in and people didn’t want to go anymore so you wouldn’t have been able to transfer your ticket as easily.

I think if the circumstances change and maybe we had a new manager who wasn’t competing at the top of the table came in the current new restrictions would put me at genuine risk of losing my season ticket if demand dropped. I have to travel for work and occasionally have to miss midweek games. Time to offer Arteta a 20 year contract I think.

I haven't used the Ticket Exchange at all this season. I have in the past and on occasions a few seasons ago, tickets just didn't sell so you have to take the hit. I really can't see how that can count against you for the ST calculation.

On the other hand, I've made frequent use of the Ticket Transfer to friends and family. In particular, evening games with extended added time and rail strikes have made life very awkward. Once everyone's joined as members and added to my network, I find it really easy and user-friendly. It's also free.

Woolwich this Woolwich Scum that :laughing7: :laughing7: Geez we moved to Highbury in 1913 so they are stuck in a time warp from a 111 years back

Pre game , during the game , post game ; not one had the good grace to say we were the better team and it was only a calamatous **&&^& from Raya that gave them a sniff .

Not good for the health I'd have thought to carry around so much negativity .

A friend put this all perfectly when he compared this TH insanity to someone saying they would never visit Germany today cos of Kaiser Wilhelm’s behaviour a hundred years ago.
Most reasonable people would look a bit confused and say, “Who?”
Then walk gently away from the conversation.

Was it your sixtieth ..? if so congratulations ; from my perspective 60 is akin to just entering puberty

Quite simple really kiwi - I only sign in when I want to post something. So when I visit just to read posts it’s quicker without signing in, and all his utterings are there to see as ignore doesn’t work then.

Yes 60 at Christmas; so if I’m entering puberty, does that explain why I’m getting moobs?

(Btw good to see you sticking up for your fellow colonial) :12hello-bye:

Ahhh I thought that might be the case John ....... now here's where the wisdom of age comes in ; I also have your best buddy on ignore so even when I have
nothing to post ; I ALWAYS log in .... that way I DONT encounter the screeds of copy and paste .

Sticking up for the colonial :laughing7: nice try .

The true colonials are Aussies and Kiwis ; it's an exclusive club , although the ocassional Leek eater might be allowed in , under special circumstances

Hi guys, I will be visiting the Emirates for the first time on May 19, for our final (title winning) match.
Need your advise, what type of lead-time do I need to have before the match?
We will be travelling from South Kensington Station into the Arsenal Underground Station. Need advise about lead-time to get into stadium right from the station.
Any advise is appreciated, cheers!

Couldn't be simpler, G7.

Take a north-bound Piccadilly Line tube from South Kensington Station to Arsenal - about 25 min journey. No need to change. Once you get out of the Arsenal tube (there's only one entrance/exit), follow the crowd and walk straight to the ground - 5 - 10 mins or so depending on which entrance.

Up to you what time you get there. The later you arrive at the ground, the longer time you'll queue to get in, but it's rarely more than a 5 minute queue. Remember it's a 3:00 pm kick-off.

1:30 or 2:00 would be a decent suggestion to give time for a beer or two on the concourse. Remember you can't take alcoholic drinks into the stands so if you want to watch the players loosen up, you'll only be able to take in soft drinks.

I hope you have a great day. I hope we all do.

Thanks mate
Isn't kick-off time at 4pm?

The internet is one thing, but I wish clubs would do something about fans in the ground. Rice having to endure a torrent of foul-mouthed abuse and having it shown on TV is really not something you'd want kids to see.

The instant karma of him delivering a perfect assist notwithstanding.

On today's game: I see we are given a 71% chance of winning. United can be backed at 7/1.

That is an amazing reflection of how far we have come (and how far United have fallen). A few years back, the prospect of being such strong favourites when visiting OT was unimaginable.

Not that is doesn't feel like a massive bananaskin!

First goalscore odds:

Bukayo Saka 5/1
Kai Havertz 11/2
Gabriel Jesus 6/1
Leandro Trossard 6/1
Eddie Nketiah 6/1
Gabriel Martinelli 13/2
Reiss Nelson 7/1
Emile Smith Rowe 15/2
Martin Ødegaard 10/1
Ethan Nwaneri 10/1
Rasmus Hojlund 12/1

The punters aren't feeling it for United today!

The only way the title gets decided on goal difference on the final day has us with AT LEAST a 3 goal advantage going in to that final game.

For goal difference to be in play City have to draw one of their games and we have to beat Man U (or the small chance City lose 1 of their games and we draw one) either way we’d be guaranteed to be 3 ahead.

It’s still a big advantage we have on the goal difference
