Tuned on the game not knowing our kit and thought initially Oxford was in white because the team in white were being outplayed. Not a good sign. C'mon Arsenal. Need to start playing better. Never seen these kits before. Too 'Tottenham-esque' for me. |

We need to learn quickly that they are going to go that extra bit harder in the tackles, the crowd will love it and the ref will let them. Either give it back or better just move the ball quicker and prepare for the contact |

Clear as day handball blocking Lokonga’s shot. His hands weren’t yet on the floor to support his body (which would have made it not a pen) but he was still well off the floor and it should have been a penalty - as clear as anything really |

Good to see ITV don’t know the handball rule in the penalty area. It’s not handball is the ball hits your arm if your arm is supporting your weight ie: your arm/hand has to be connected to the floor. ITV’s guy is suggesting the rule allows you to have your arm out of it is breaking your fall. If that was the rule then you would have free rein to handle the ball in the box as long as you fell over after and used that hand to break your fall. Handball penalties get debated a lot but that one is as clear as anything you’ll see all season. Quite worrying that the ref decided not to give it. The arm wasn’t even close to the body which might have been an excuse that he wasn’t sure what part of the body it hit |

Lokonga despite being 6 foot can’t take receipt of a ball under any modicum of pressure. Can’t play on the half turn Elneny just wandering round like it’s a testimonial again also can’t play on the half turn Vieira doesn’t put a single tackle in and let’s himself get continually bullied in possession. Doesn’t understand it’s a fight |

The drop-off in quality, with and without the ball, when Partey, Xhaka and Ødegaard don’t play is just massive. Arteta is saying the squad is short but they’ve had 2 months of a World Cup to get their signings sorted. Are we looking at one possible signing (Mudryk) which looks like it could go down to the wire and probably won’t even happen. |

3 dangerous in swinging corners from us in a row, get one on the other side and we have Vieira taking an outswinger which is nowhere near as dangerous. Martinelli usually swings them in from that side |

2nd assist for Vieira. Oxford gave it away in a dangerous area, Xhaka with the interception, in to Vieira, loads of time on the ball, simple run in behind and Nketiah goes round the gk and finishes in to the empty net. Next thought must be to try to get the front 3 subbed off asap |
