It’s a fading memory - that long spell where we simply collapsed when faced with a ‘top 6’ club. We are the real deal.

We all loved it! Massive win & we looked extremely authoritative. The chavs may not be what they were but we defo dominated them & claimed 3 big points.

Also, Aubameyang can take that stupid video he did & shunt it right up his hole.

For me, best midfield performance of the season. Xhaka and Partey imperious. Saliba looks like a Rolls Royce defender; for me shades of (ahem) O’Leary.

I think Jesus was fantastic, but we need a goalscorer and still need to improve our final decision making in the box.

But what a brilliant performance. This team is going places I think.

Onwards and upwards.

A result that I feel sure Bernard would have been proud of.

It’s Arteta

He won’t let them drop and they KNOW they can’t drop.

Like I’ve said previously we won’t always win but we always turn up. Strange things are happening at Arsenal

So that was "Harry-Potter" ball?.....We totally bossed them, Partey was as earlier mentioned "Imperious", Jesus is the "X" factor we've missed for too long.

Well summed up. Cohesion and intensity. The back four was also imperious and linked seamlessly with the midfield. I can see why White and Zinny are first choice fullbacks.

Yup. Similar vibe to Pep, but with his own distinct stamp.

Arteta out! :42laughter:

That was a statement. Some will argue, it wasn't so much Arsenal played great but Chelsea aren't playing well these days. But its Chelsea, at the Bridge and a massive derby and that will always be a tough game to get anything out of.

We should have had 2 or 3 goals quite frankly. How Ødegaard missed that one is a mystery. Still trying to temper my expectations. Hoping Liverpool do us a favor. Villa up 2-0 against Man Utd, if they can hold on that would be lovely.

I love this f*cking club way too much than I should but not enough that they deserve.

They know if they drop he’s on them.

He’s practically on the pitch with them. He watches everything and he knows every beat.

Didn’t play great? Really?

Went away and controlled the game from start to end. Beautifully organised. No heart in the mouth moments. Looked pretty damn great to me.

Also, pundits are talking about things that Arsenal fans aren't such as title chances and expectations. If I had to guess, very few Arsenal fans are thinking title chances yet.....in the new year and we are there abouts? We'll start. Right now I'm happy with making it a 2 team race knowing City will likely win it and not feeling bad about it. I would be happy with Tottenham, Man Utd and Chelsea as threats greatly minimized. That's enough for me.

They are looking at the 2 draws as a slump. The fans that piss me off the most are the American fans. All of them to a person became fans once they had money and were winning.

I keep reminding them they support a club with a girl's name. Irks them to no end.

Hmmm ... maybe although I'm more inclined towards Terry Mancini .

Great performance , Jesus just needs a goal to release the tension , he is trying too hard .

Being a Chelsea fan right now , not pleasant after getting tonked by Brighton last outing , you'd expect some sort of reaction but they weren't at the races .

I’d do that deal in a heartbeat. He can be a bit of a Dick but he’s very talented and can slot in for Martinelli and Saka to give them some respite ….not sure though he fits in with MA’s desired profile….younger players etc who play to his system…

In other news I’m totally gutted …my local team the Philadelphia Union are 3:2 up with 9 minutes of injury time played in extra time ….i.e the 129 th minute ….and then that scummy f….er…. Bale scores an equalizer….LA go on to win on pens…. F me.

A few of my mates here in San Diego used to play footie for Philadelphia textile college....used to be a decent NCAA challenging team back in the day so I hear. Interesting to read about your tip back to London, I only go back now it seems when family members pass...I love London, but so many other places I want to see before my time comes! If you ever make it over to this neck of the woods let me know.

I will RoastBeef….hoping to go there in the next couple of years

I was actually in San Diego about 5 years ago with the missus, son, daughter in law and first grandson….had a great time …stayed at the Coronado hotel….loved it ….great zoo in a big park I seem to remember as well as the Gaslight area

Yeah I here you ….so much to do so little time …my bucket list gets longer and the years get shorter!

In hindsight one more thing has struck me. It was very wet and the pitch was slippy. Our passing in those conditions was top rate. There were no sloppy moments (unlike a couple of recent games) and it was all very slick.

Not at all. Although if they do catch us then we won’t have come close to winning the league.

Newcastle looking increasingly threatening, and have just gone ahead At Southampton.
