5 minutes added time is pathetic - 2 long var checks - all those subs. it should be 7+ easily here.

We've lost 5 minutes alone to var checks

Should be at least 8 minutes of added time, with Var and sub.

Oh Rice, you have such a good set piece and in added time you'd just ballooned one probably 15 yards too far - goal kick - too easy

Post subject:  Re: Supporters Forum

Poor 2 points dropped. That should have been a comfortable win with the amount we dominated the game. 1 chance for Fulham all game. Our injuries in the back line causing re-shuffles every single game are killing us, as is our inability to take guilt edged chances, and for all the domination and pressure we build we simply don't get enough shots at goal.
left wing and CF are hurting us right now - we channel all our play to the wings and only 1 wing is effective. Nothing goes in to Havertz feet or for him to spin behind on a straight run

Started quickly but no cutting edge. Once they got an early goal they had something to fight for. Had we scored first I think we'd have run out easy winners.

A well earned point at a very difficult away ground.

2 bloody shots all game for Fulham - we restricted them to xG of 0.14, we missed 3 big chances today. Utterly dominant but not enough killer instinct.
Title winning teams find a way to win that and often the way that game is won is a 25 yard blaster in to the top corner - did we even try to find the space to even try anything like that? Do we have anyone capable?

We're not far off the end of our 'easy run' - we have to win the next 3 no excuses. Then its a seriously tough run again starting with back to back away games v Brentford and Brighton.

We desperately need something in attack in January

Absolute *%^@. Can’t convert from open play to save ourselves and just handed the points back to Liverpool. Excuses have been made for some of the other dropped points but that wasn’t good enough.

Indeed.

Is Jesus being deliberately rubbish? That chance today….

Post subject:  Re: Supporters Forum

Hindsight is easy but moving Partey and Timber to accommodate the loss of Zinchenko felt like too many moves away from the last 3 games where we smashed it. Maybe MLS wasn't fit enough to start.

Also, just when it feels like the squad is getting really good and competitive we see players outside of the starting 11 seriously drop off and make no impact even as subs. Along with constant niggly injuries you can make a case for a number of these players to be moved on - Jesus, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, Kiwior....and neither Trossard or Martinelli are doing enough to be considered starting 11 quality right now, and there are games that Havertz is just non existent for a top side who dominant the ball, he should be getting loads of touches and shots

I think we have tried for a striker, I just don’t think they wanted to pay the 100M for Gyokeres and Šesko decided to stay put. When Havertz was knocking them in it looked fine. Martinelli falling off a cliff and sadly dying but his corpse still getting minutes has hurt us just as much.

These types of performances have become too frequent and we’ve been riding the stats machine for too long.

Title is gone. Focus on the CL and cups.

Very frustrating. It was a good result for top 4 but an unconvincing one for a team trying to win the league. We missed some great chances though, Partey particularly with a free header 5 yards out and also Jesus who inexplicably let the ball bounce with the keeper rooted to the spot. It was a real chance to put some pressure on Liverpool but instead we’ve given them a boost.

I’ve always *gag* liked Tottenham Hotspurs and respected their ability to *gag* play football and personally I think to dare is to do is not stupid and wanky at all. Come on you knobs, pretend it’s City!

Unfortunately it’s not hindsight. I’m seeing a pattern and it’s not a good one.

Post subject:  Re: Supporters Forum

Timber at left back is a valid tactic in a big game against a top class winger - he had Salah in his pocket. But in games we dominate we lose some left side balance. When its coupled with Partey at RB we lose the verve that Timber gives us from RB. It's neither player's fault they're doing the best they can in an unfamiliar position.

4th choice right back, 1st choice CB, 5th choice CB, 2/3rd choice LB.

We really missed the balance Calafiori gives us and the aggression Gabriel give us. No chance Jimenez scores with gabriel in the team - gabriel wouldn't have let him have the first ball unchallenged for a start.

Games like this still feel we're lacking a lot in attack, creativity comes down to Ødegaard and Saka, and Ødegaard was off his game today. Too many others thrive as continuity to keep the ball moving or as players who arrive on the end of things with a first time finish.

Spurs 2-0 up v Chelsea inside 10 mins.

If Chelsea don't win this then what a gift of a weekend for Liverpool. All 3 main rivals drop points while they have their feet up. Feels like everything is going Liverpool's way this year, big injuries for Arsenal and City, few bizarre ref decisions against us - plenty of luck in our home game against them. Playing tough games at just the moment an opponent drops off in form

Spurs are just comedy. They can look brilliant when they press high and full of confidence but they'll always give you a chance. Need them to win this and at home to Liverpool just before xmas.

Disgraceful. How can the authorities allow it continue? I hope Spurs lose, regardless of Chelsea being a direct rival.

Post subject:  Re: Supporters Forum

Our game at the moment seems to be to go for total control of the match, we are so solid defensively we give opponents so little chances even if they have decent possession. We also press high - not in a spurs all out press kamikaze way) but in a way where the opponents only option is to go long. All that is good, but when we get the ball back we’re not going quickly enough forward, we’re fearful of making transition games so prefer for safe possession when we win it back rather than the higher risk direct pass.
Today’s team lacked a serious amount of pace. None of the starting front 6 are electric. Saka is fast enough for a winger mainly due to his sharpness but the rest are lower than average for pace

Not easy only in the sense that very few away games in this league are easy. Most mid table teams are more than capable of putting up a solid performance at home to a top side but they’ll be very inconsistent all season. You can’t afford lots of draws against those midtable teams.

Still unacceptable. You can't be throwing things onto a player and the pitch when they are triying to take a corner.

Spurs are an absolute joke of a club. 2 brain dead tackles in the box to gift Chelsea 2 penalties. 2-0 up now losing 4-2.

Clearly rushed back both Romero and VdV and both have gone off injured
That’s where the injuries excuse holds little ground

Watching the tottingham capitulation, you won’t see a clearer example of a player kicking the ball away when a free kick has been awarded and the ref completely ignoring it.

Post subject:  Re: Supporters Forum

Even if spurs are simply following their managers instructions to ‘absolutely go for it’ at every chance surely there is someone on the team mature and experienced enough to say, maybe let’s just relax here, get some bodies behind the ball, not completely vacate the middle of the pitch and gain some control of a game

We were robbed of 4 points this season in a directive that was applied far too unjustly to us in isolation
