I’m more of a Wire, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Line of Duty, Better Call Saul type of watcher.

It’s odd that spurs have huge depth in both defence and defensive mids but in those attacking positions they really don’t have much. Only Kulesevski missing for them today.

We have to get more numbers back into the defensive shape because only Tottenham's poor final pass stopped them being in on goal on several occasions.

They are but pundits need to spare us from the ‘Conte masterclass’ I’ve only ever understood that narrative of you sit deep and your opponents just have sterile possession, no chances and no danger. When you sit deep and rely on counters but also rely on a touch of luck, your gk making top saves and your opponents not finishing their chances that isn’t a masterclass.

I’m not saying that’s exactly what is happening here but that narrative is written too often for teams who sit deep and play on the counter. You usually see it when a small team upsets a big side but the game is so 1 sided and lucky it can’t ever be a managerial masterclass
