Of course that is given as onside - no different to ours. Exactly the same at home to Fulham when both tight calls went against us.

Pathetic all round

Precisely the wrong game to do it as well - very tight affair where neither team looks close to scoring, and we've kept them from creating anything in the second half.

Worse than that. It wasn’t going in, nor was there anybody to put it in. He managed to divert an innocuous ball into his net. But I’m sure that he will know that.

Did you notice the way they didn’t know how to measure it on the crosshairs? From the arm or the foot or what?

I’m not saying it was offside he looked on but it was close but they are making it up as they go along for these

Quite literally the bloke on var could have moved those lines a pixel or so either way and come to the opposite decision and convince himself he's right and we'd be 1-0 instead of 1-0 down. That is what football has come to.

I shall be more worried if he does it next Thursday or the one after.

Indeed so. No sense of fairness or correctness in any of this.

It was literally that. If he goes with the arm it’s in our favour. If he measures from our centre backs foot it’s not.

They are creating performance art

has happened far too many times. if we could just make 50% fewer mistakes and get 50% more tight var calls (which are basically guesses) we'd be miles further up the league. You're not even correcting any players or general play - just change those two things and we improve immensely

I think they're checking for the furthest forward body part. Which shows how tight it was.

I shudder at the thought of the utterly awful performances opponents have put in against us and claimed points from us this season. Really not good enough.

Everton have offered absolutely nothing this game

Moshiri has half of that wealth and he owns half of Everton.

He can have a whip round with his mates.

Moshiri owns over three quarters of Everton. Blue Heaven Holdings (Moshiri’s company) has 77.23% of the shares, Bill Kenwright has 5.00% and other small shareholders have 17.77%.

How many shots on target have Everton had? Fulham had none apart from the pen.

It’s dreadful as we stumble from 1 crisis to another.

we miss footballing intelligence in the final third.saka and Emile Smith Rowe do their best.

Same thing we've been saying a lot this season. We play well and we might win - slightest fault in our performance and we always seem to draw or lose.

Worthy winners. I’d take the loss here for a good win on Thursday.

Our season has been diabolical

Can we also point out the farce of time keeping in added time.
An everton player goes down in added time and we waste 1 minute, then Arsenal commit a foul on 93:30 there is 2 minutes of argy bargy so when the ball comes back it's nearly 95 minute and the ref blows straight away - you knew he would.

Deary me.
Its all our eggs in the Europa League basket. After a lack lustre performance topped off with a goal keeping howler it hardly fills you with confidence.

I do feel sorry for him, how can he legislate for such comical individual errors and arbitrary var calls.

Draw those offside lines 1 pixel the other way in our last two home games and we have 6 points now 5. That is what is deciding matches now

We've now gifted everton the double over us with 2 own goals

The way we were playing, another 45 won't get us a goal.

Our luck isnt in at the moment but then again our games are so tight that we have little margin of error.
