Puts some of David Luiz’s into context doesn’t it? The ones where repeated slow motion was necessary to show that there had been any contact at all.

We need to pull ourselves together and actually play a bit in the second half. We're a much better footballing side than Everton, but our chances of outscrapping them is far lower than our chance of outplaying them. As we've seen from the (too few) good performances we've had this season it all starts with intensity and making it difficult for the opponent.

Absolutely

Remember the one at wolves. Didn’t even touch him. I just can’t believe it

I think that this is the type of game to give Pépé a run on this wet surface

Godfrey again. He should have been sent off twice

So Dean didn't forget to bring his yellow card today

Godfrey gets the most deserved card in the entire history of football.

That’s a red and 2 yellows Godfrey has had so far but only 1 yellow to his name

Bring him on to stop Saka getting kicked off the pitch

I think it’s worth putting him up against Godfrey. One more bad challenge.

That’s offside. The 18 yard box line is doing the var line for you! Richarlison is past the line and the arsenal defender isn’t

Martinelli should have passed to Lacazette

Oh yes. That’s the Xhaka that we are familiar with. Slow followed by a clumsy foul.

The irony being that Var has only stuffed one team tonight, both Everton goals were correctly ruled off

If Pépé can't be trusted to play 30 minutes in a game where our attacking players aren't doing anything to threaten then surely we should just try to sell him in January

It is stuffing Everton, in the sense that without it they would have had two goals.

Spatially accurate yes, but hugely frustrating for them I would think.

Still losing too many second balls and hopeful punts. Mike Dean will do his best here to ramp up the pressure

Are we trying to get Nketiah to sign a new contract? Seems like it shouldn't be a priority here...

That touch in such a tight area and to win the free kick was brilliant from Saka

Lokonga or AMN for Xhaka?
Xhaka will tire fast. And can get a second Yellow for fouling.

Of course an Arsenal player will be booked for the slightest hint on time wasting. We have to wait until the 90th minute for opponents usually

So you have nketiah on the left wing instead of Pépé.

We’ve seen reds for that as well. Not even a foul. It’s late over the top of the ball and on the shin. Awful
