What a strange team we are. Super highs or desperate dross. You never know what you’re going to see.

What are you on about?
Stop being childish.
You read negatives from a positive message. What a pessimist you must be.

Swedish commentator mentioned Slavia are unbeaten at home for 31 games or something like that. Makes the result even more impressive

1 minute added time. I find it so irritating how officials do this. Of either team needed a goal to win the toe then there is no way there would only be 1 minute added time.

More than happy with that. Reduces the chance of getting more cards.

You’re right though. It did seem to be a nonsense.

It's officially a win of the highest quality when Soc has put his stamp of approval on it. (meant as a compliment).

I think eventually timekeeping will be taken away from referees. It's a bit weird that they wait for a non controversial time to blow the whistle. Just have a start stop clock and the next time it goes dead after 90 minutes (or less) end it.

You’d have to fancy us againest Villarreal. Their squad seems a bunch of aging pros and journeymen like capoue, bacca plus players like Coquelin who never really cut it at the highest level. Over 2 legs surely we have a massive chance

Do you still think 6 Leicester players would walk into our first team TG?

Yep and 2 wins againest Sheffield United and Prague don’t change that.

For example I thought ceballos was good tonight and at the weekend, but as the Tuesday club pointed out this week we’ll its about his level. Its one extreme to the other with our supporters there is no middle. Tonight Liverpool is long forgotten.

What Saka said today is spot on: "This shows everyone how exciting we can be... When we play like this it’s so exciting to be involved ... We have the quality, we just have to show the performances and game management that we did today.”

Our biggest enemy at the moment is the proverbial handbrake.

Really enjoyable to put the tie to bed within 25 minutes.
There is something that just seems to work with Lacazette spearheading an attack with vibrant fast players around him.

Pépé proved my theory about him again. Surround him with fast, high press, high energy players and he raised his game.

The two Hale end boys were marvellous. Mari is fast becoming a very good centre back, he has a calmness that spreads through the team. Xhaka at left back worked again.

Maybe a chance to make a few changes v Fulham

Lol. Ceballos was playing because Tierney is injured and Xhaka moved to left back, so Ceballos doesn't count. Remind me which 6 players walk into our first team? Let's face it you're talking rubbish and not for the first time.
Still who cares, we murdered the team that knocked Leicester out of Europe tonight so I'm in a good mood.

You wanna start that boring debate again? We can beat anyone on our day, consistency is the issue,

I’m surprised your in a good mood considering the sheer misery you spout when you throw a hissy fit when we lose a game.

We’re on the verge of a potential final, how horrible for you.

We’re so inconsistent. A fine win today, but we’re more than capable of dropping points against Fulham.

We can win the Europa League with the players we have. On paper the most likely final is Arsenal versus Manchester United. The respective league positions of the two clubs suggests they’re the better team. But if we have one of our good days in the final, I’d fancy us to beat them. The uncertain thing is whether we’d have one of our good days. You don’t know what Arsenal is going to turn up in any game.

Playing 3 at the back has helprd to dominate midfield and also gives the attack a bit more free reign so Arteta has to be given credit for changing it after the Liverpool game. Same as what Decaf or Haz said , Xhaka could come unstuck with balls over the top to forwards with pace but it's working for now and a great win.

No changes boss. Let them bed in together.

Give Azeez and Balogun some game time especially if we have a good half time lead.

That is already a quite iconic picture. It is all over the internet. Handy to back up that statement with a 4-0 win and 2 goals from the captain and guy who features is such a defiant statement. Our other two goalscorers were black as well

If we make it to the final it will be our 7th final in 8 years. As much as we’ve gone through a tough time in comparison to the last 30 years we’re still competitive.

It would make 2 finals in 2 years for Arteta in difficult circumstances. Plenty of egg on faces here if he wins the bloody thing after a host of people on here moaned about his in game management and micro analysed every other decision no matter how inconsequential

This sums up America. This is a brief exchange between two coworkers.

"Did you hear about the mass shooting?"

"Which one?"

...and the tone was just this side of 'matter of fact'. The body count, place and type of victims determines the reaction.

I've also realized in conversation that present or former gun owners such as myself who are politically moderate, centrist or towards the left, would have very little issue in a total gun ban. It's the right wing that would gladly wage guerilla warfare in order to keep theirs. I bought mine after a break in our area and I was living alone at the time with the occasional weekend sleep overs of my two young nephews at the time. When I moved to a better area I sold it. No need (the resale value is horrible...lol), cars I think have a much better comparative resale value. That's your typical owner. The far right sees it not for functionality (home protection in a bad area, hunting, etc.) but in part of some ideological fear of an oppressive government and the fringe right as needed for some eventual internal war based on..take your pick: the global elite (code speak for Jews mainly but also the liberal 1% like the newly rich progressives in tech, etc, if that's really possible), a race war with Blacks mainly, supported by the aforementioned 'global elites' (which coincidentally some have killed blacks to spark one. Self fulfilling prophecy. We expect one so let's start one to get it over with because its inevitable...yeah, I know, no one said they were logical). Others for some other fringe reasons.

I've signed petitions or voted for any proposal that restricted access, increased background checks, whatever. I have zero issues with it. And have always loved countries where gun crime was rare if any. I have met Americans in peaceful countries who would comment that it would be hard to live in such places without access to a firearm. You really need one in...take your pic... Bali, Dubai, Tokyo? Really?

Exactly, Haz.

I wasn't at all confident going into the game given their home record, our inconsistency and our ability to shoot ourselves in the foot, but I am ecstatic to be proven wrong.

Am I confident we can win the thing? Well, we are one step nearer and only a max of three games left to play but this is cup football and it only takes one sub-par performance or some bad luck, some poor refereeing, or even a couple of worldies from the opposition. In short, anything can happen.

I'd like to see United knocked out, that would make me more confident.

Same. I think last night showed exactly how powerful it can be. That picture of Lacazette will live long in the memory.
