11 points with a game hand. Can we say Newcastle and Man Utd are no longer a threat to catch us?

Dare I say, at times, the one touch football was better than the 02-04 side. At times.

Let’s hope that Everton keep Frank in place for our next league game.

We fully deserved the game. Their equalizer made us go into another gear.

Just so wonderful to put to bed that long spell where we turned up for ‘big 4/6’ matches and got comprehensively turned over.

They’re all scared of us right now.

Honestly, we really should have put 4 past them...at least.

Nketiah's brace may be the most important goals for us since it gives him an incredible amount of confidence to score twice in this high profile of a game.

Trossard will be huge but Nketiah who was always confident is flying high and feels like he can score on anyone and that may become extremely important against City as well as Liverpool and Chelsea games either starting or off the bench.

Subbed late but early thoughts on Trossard?

Immediate impact. Hit the ground running, so to speak.

Another huge bonus from today - no yellow card for any of the three already on four cards. And now we’ve reached the 19 game cutoff.

To be fair and although it was clearly not enough, it was the best I've seen Man Utd play away from home in a few months against a good side. They were up for it full tilt.

I like that they were going for the win and wasn't going to be happy with a draw. Saw it as a revenge game. I love this squad's attitude.

What a game. What a win!

To be fair I thought United were very good first half and we were sloppy. A few of our players hadn't brought their A game to the party. Sloppy passes, poor decisions. Our defending was nervy.

Much better second half and deserved the win.

Saka was out of this world, unplayable.

Zinchenko was simply sensational. Ran the show from left back.

Xhaka and Partey (despite too many misplaced passes) were outstanding.

Nketiah showed his goalscoring instincts as well as some more than decent hold-up play.

Martinelli was poor yet again. Not sure what's wrong with him but he can barely go past his man at the moment.

Trossard with a great little cameo.

I think we have played every team except City but I think they will go into the game confident they can play with anyone and feel they are capable of beating anyone.

I was listening to a Man Utd fan site and they said they gave Arsenal the toughest game they have faced at home this season and I wouldn't disagree. Man Utd are going to be tough....very tough. Dare I say, they are almost back. A few buys, sells. They'll end up 3rd.

I can and will write a lot more about that win but the thing that strikes me most about this team is t he refusal to panic in any situation, it’s so mature. Pressing for that winner there were no hopeful punts or crosses in to the box, no 1 in 50 long range optimistic efforts, it was relentless pressure and correct decisions to pass and move and kill them.

20 shots inside the box. Stunning team

That is key. We absolutely weren't afraid of losing that.

A few thoughts now my heart rate has returned to normal.
Saka - my word he was brilliant. He now has such a fear factor for the opposition, he had Shaw (a damn good full back) on toast all game. Shaw was retreating to the safety of his team mates time and time again and it only made it worse for Man U. The goal was stunning, hit the post with another. The team somehow engineers so many 1v1 situations for Saka as well, don’t underestimate how difficult that is to do when your opposition know you are the main threat. We manipulated and dragged Man U around then switch it wide for those 1v1’s.
Saka is the best winger in the league. Pay him shaved he wants and get one of those Chelsea 8 year contracts out

Zinchenko is so unorthodox it’s brilliant. How does a left back control the game by continually popping up in central midfield?!
His technical level and intelligence and vision is beyond that of any full back I’ve seen at Arsenal. He’s a central midfielder playing at full back.

Watch his passion for the winner. Love this guy already

Mistake from Ramsdale for the equaliser, had to punch it or trust Tomiyasu to head it away under no pressure. 1 big save from Rashford’s shot though was top class. He didn’t have much else to do though such was our dominance.

Rashford was scary at times, he’s bang in form and it was a good move by Arteta to take White off and being Tomiyasu on - who was then excellent in what was a tough gig coming in to a game at that pace and being asked to shut down the only threat Man U had

Nketiah deserved every moment of this. He put his faith in the club and managed by signing that deal when he could have gone to a number of clubs on a free and been guaranteed first choice. He stayed patient, worked hard and has rounded his all round game to so much more than a penalty box poacher - but good to see he hasn’t lost those skills! Two brilliantly taken goals.
Pundits were questioning how we’d cope without Jesus - turned out just fine thanks!

Back from the game. Just buzzing. That felt HUGE when the var decision was announced in the ground.

I’m starting to believe we can actually win this. Our will to win and mentality is that of a previous title winning sides we have had.

Even just A point v city next month would be massive.

Nice little cameo from Trossard. He looked sharp and quick, couple of passes and dribbles looked like he’ll settle with us quickly. Easy opportunity now to give Martinelli some rest as he’s deserved it.

The new Polish CB was in the directors box, he must have enjoyed seeing what a club he’s just decided to join. The players, manager and fans in harmony and the fans reaction to conceding must be a shock to the system for everyone including opposing players.

The emirates for me is the best atmosphere in the Prem right now.

I still feel we need 4 points from our games v City. Could do with City losing their main striker to a 3 month injury like we’ve had to deal with!

Attacking threat graphic. Don’t know how this is worked out but whatever metric is used it’s the same for both teams and every match. Domination

Wins v city would be great but 2 draws would be sensational as well. Honestly we are playing so well This side are not intimidated by anyone and I genuinely think we could turn city over at our place. Now that will be a game and a half

Arsenal had 63 touches in the opposition box. That’s the most of any team in any Premier League match this season

I said recently Man U statistically on average play the deepest defensive line in the league. Even though, to dominate so much play in their box you just needed one bounce of the ball to go our way. The winner felt like the result of the previous 20 minutes of pressure

There can’t be many bigger wastes of money than Anthony. What was he £90m! I’ve seen him be described as a fidget spinner. He might have some tricks but it doesn’t do anything for the team. Pointless.

There was a point where he had a decent run through at goal and his pace was non existent- Partey just ate up the ground and beat him to the ball with ease. I can’t recall one moment where Anthony actually looked to take on Zinchenko. Compare that to Saka and Martinelli

Wow. This Arsenal team has come so far in such a short space of time. Half way through the season and we are playing very well, breaking records and top pf the league with a game in hand. Its starting to take effort not to wonder 'could it really happen?'. Lets see where we are at 30 games. As I keep saying, this run is probably going to depend on how we cope with any injuries. Thank goodness we've signed Trossard, a soon to be announced centre back, and the form of Nketiah.

There are many positives from the game but special mentions to Zinchenko, Saka, Nketiah and Mikel for being decisive and taking off White who didnt look right today.
