Apparently Özil shows you to your seat though for that price.

We’ve just literally been having this discussion. Funny this was brought up

Therefore I’m pleased to announce I’m prepared to offer a 2 grand discount to any forum member who wants my season ticket for the wolves game at the bargain price of 51 thousand nicker. PM me and I’ll provide my banking details so you can arrange a transfer :58big-emoticons:

I’d rather see it go to a friendly than a rich Asian chap who flys in on his private jet only to find himself sat next to the nutters usually sat around me who are 8 pints and several spliffs of wicked Jamaican sensei in by the time kick off arrives.

First come first serve so no moaning when it goes quickly please :58big-emoticons:

I’ll also add that I do wonder if this is what contributed to so many empty seats at the palace game because at the moment arsenal are the hottest ticket in town and it was weird seeing so many empty seats for a weekend game that could have easily been sold on ticket exchange. I do wonder if they had been touted to folks who hadn’t turned up.

Anyways who cares. 51k and it’s yours folks. Get in quick to avoid disappointment

Also I’ll add finally it seems a little bit…… shall I say…… presumptuous. But who cares reach out to me.

Not taking anything for granted here but if we can match City's results/points in the next 3 games then we play Southampton at home whilst City play their FA Cup semi. If we can get the points in the bag it could leave quite an uphill task for City even if they do have 2 games in hand. Match their points in the next 3 and beat Southampton and we'd be 11 points clear when we meet City at the Etihad on April 26th.

For the next 3 though we play after City in every game

Arteta apparently keen on Eric Garcia of Barca, once of Man City so he must know him from there. Right-sided CB

Partey and Tierney took part in full training for us today. Haaland not spotted at City's training - perhaps is groin injury is more serious than just pulling him out of the international break. Lets not forget Haaland's injury record at dortmund - he missed 28 games in 2 years with them

For some strange reason I find myself thinking more of what he does when he plays.

City couldn't pull Haaland out of internationals unless he went along with it. These were European qualifiers not a bunch of friendlies. There's nothing to suggest that Haaland would willingly skip matches for Norway. He could have chosen to play for England but always wanted to play for Norway and has already scored more than 20 international goals. His father said last week that he was quite doubtful about being fit for the Liverpool game.

Yep saw that.
Whether or not the Kroenkes are there that day, for that amount you'd best be invited to join them at club level, with all the trimmings.

Arsenal believe they can ‘manage’ Saliba’s injury until the end of the season. It’s a risk but we don’t have any other choice, we can’t afford for him to have surgery now.

Another top quality CB and/or RB is essential in the summer.

We only need saliba for the away games really. I fancy us to win the home games without him

The real problem is that Tomiyasu is injured really not saliba. Tommy is made of glass and can cover either position

Hate to seem like a downer but Liverpool is one of the best chances left, if not the best chance to take points off City other than us. If they do, we have a 50/50 chance. If City win, I don't think there is much to stop them from possibly running the table, save a draw from us if we play out of our skins. The next biggest banana peel I think is away to Soton for them. Always tough to go to the south coast and get a win.

The truth is we'll have to get 2 wins a draw from Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea. Chelsea being the easiest and that's a tall order for a London derby, even at home. Trying to get a win at Newcastle or Liverpool is very tough. Liverpool always play us tough at Anfield. I think it will be easier to beat Newcastle away. Both would require us to play very, very well from the onset.

For that ticket price, I'd have to be on the bench at least if not playing.

Yeh, but Rich does that mean playing him when he isn't anywhere close to full fitness? If so, that's a risk in itself.

Losing Tomiyasu is a big problem. He could have filled in at right back and Ben White could have played CB.

Holding is a lot better than many give him credit for, defensively he's very sound and great in the air but he does lack some pace and his distribution is not anywhere close to Saliba's level.

I can't recall. How long have we been in first place? It wasn't the first week, right? And did we lose first place at anytime? I kinda recall City being briefly on top for a week or a few days?

From my understanding it is more than you can't push him all the time, but he could play through the pain for 90 minutes a week, but won't train much in between.

I recall Ledley King did this pretty much his whole career, played 90 minutes then spent the rest of the week recovering and getting patched up ready to play the next 90 minutes

I don't see us giving up at least 2 goals without a Saliba/Gabriel partnership at Anfield and City and to a lesser extent home vs Chelsea. Those 3 sides have very, very good attacking players. I've always liked Holding. He's a very decent 3rd defender in a pinch. I'd be fairly confident with him against most PL sides. Exceptions being sides with quality attackers. Saliba, as good as he's been this season is pressed hard against the top side attackers. It's asking a lot of Holding. He did great in that cup final alongside Merts several years ago. Career game, but its not something you expect week in, week out out of him.

We'll have to make sure he's got help in those games if he's playing. It's a big blow not having Saliba, frankly pretty much any of the starters save a position or two in the big, must win games against top 5 sides.

Saka has won player of the month for March.

Haven’t heard of Arteta won manager of the month but he won every game so if he doesn’t then it’s because whoever hands out the awards doesn’t want to give it to Arteta ‘again’ rather than the award being based purely on who has been the best.
I could accept if a manager of a club near the bottom played 4 games v the top 6 and won 3 and lost 1 - that this would be more deserving of he award than a top 6 manager winning 4 games against mid table teams

I've been reading a bit of tactical stuff on Leeds and one thing jumped out from when Leeds plays Brighton. When Brighton inverted their full-backs in in the 2-3-5 shape much like we do, Leeds wingers (in their 4-4-2 shape) followed them inside like a man marking job.
What this does is congest the middle of the pitch but crucially it would leave Martinelli and Saka 1v1 against the Leeds full back (Ayling and Firpo maybe). This is what Arsenal strive for under Arteta, creating these 1v1's where we back our player to be better. Recently we've seen team bringing their wide men back to double up on our wide men - we've then countered this by narrowing our shape to expose the gaps that leaves in the middle, or we've pushed someone like White on the overlap like a traditional full back to make that a 2v2 on the right wing.

Let's see how the game plays out.

Caption reads:

Hampden Park April 17th 1937 , and crowds attempt to inch towards the turnstiles for international v England. This match would produce a world record attendance of 149,547… still a record for any game in Europe. This was the first game played at a recently enlarged Hampden. ‘Official’ capacity was 150,000… but the engineers capacity was given as around 180,000+….How did they arrive at this figure? : 18 x 18 inches was allowed per person, producing a total of 163,782….. then 19,906 extra places could be gained by filling up the gangways!

I am really, really not comfortable with all the things I see on my feed pretty much crowning us champions. Way, way too many decisive games left against opposition we can easily drop points to or lose if we misstep.

We really need Liverpool today to get something out of their game. 7 points is a decent 2 game cushion for unexpected dropped points. 5 is touch and go and we'd need to draw at City. Leeds won't be easy but I see pretty much every pundit expecting a walk in the park.

Hi AG,

I do not consider us favorites in any shape or form, despite the 5 point lead. I shudder when I look at our remaining fixtures, so many really tough games, home and away but particulary away.

If we come away from the games against Liverpool, Newcastle, City, Chelsea and Brighton without having dropped at least 7 points I will be amazed.

I wont be confident until we have a 4 point lead and there's one game to go :laughing7:

Even then I'd be worried about the PL finding some way to deduct points from us.

I find it strange how so much of the outside pressure is being put on us, yes we’re ahead on points but given the fixtures I make it 50/50 at best.

If you consider the experience City have having won 4 or the last 5 titles then it’s amazing that the pressure is on us to win. We’re the underdogs in this and it would be embarrassing for City to get beaten by us given their squad, their money, their experience and that they sold us two players in the summer.

Also, there should be huge pressure and intensity from the media on Pp and Coty to win the champions league (and fa cup) they should have won a CL by now and it’s a massive failing for them to have not.

They should by all accounts be winning the treble and have the pressure on them to win the treble. Not enough is spoken about that prospect

City were wide open in defence for that

Definitely want Liverpool to win but if they do it makes them harder for us to beat next week. Luckily Liverpool have to play Chelsea away midweek so hopefully they can get tired and beaten in that one
