Brighton want to loan out Ferguson for the rest of the season. Worth a punt? There was great talk about him 2 years ago.

Spurs are without 4 of their first choice back 5 and their back up left back. That defence is really not good we must put it under pressure on Wednesday. Set pieces (still) seem a good route v spurs.

We can’t. We already have 2 loans from a premier league club, you can’t do 3.

Would involve cancelling the loan of Neto somehow

We can obviously sign him for cash

That would be a punt, Gunnie. He's only started twice this season and he didn't play that much last season. Danny Welbeck would be a better bet.

Yes, mostly injury no? Real shame, the story of lots of professional footballers you’ve likely never heard of I guess. But he was one I think lots of people were keeping an eye on to see how his career took shape.

Still time for him of course.

Didn't know that thanks.

Perhaps. But if we get yet another DM and not a striker/winger I think fans might start to get edgy.

One thing that will always annoy me is the post match analysis of games based solely on the result - I've seen loads of stuff about Man U's rock solid defence and world class performances from the 3 CB. They gave up 4xG, Man U's CB did not stop Arsenal at all, it was only our own poor finishing that stopped this being a 4-1 win and Man U's defenders would have played exactly the same and got zero praise for it

What is more worrying is that fans are starting to call for Arteta's head. Its amazing how quickly people turn.

You'd never guess we are second in the league and poised to qualify for the CL knockout phases.

I dont really pay much attention to those people. In every fan base you will find all sorts of opinions including some really wacky ones. Unfortunately with social media they now have an amplified voice.

That’s the problem, it’s a small minority of with the loudest voice who have engineered a platform. With things like AFTV I don’t know any Arsenal fan who watched it, whenever we lose my mates who support other teams watch it for a laugh.

And the bigger the club the more idiots you’ll have who support your team. ‘Arsenal fans are all unhinged’, no but we’ve probably got more idiot fans than some prem teams have altogether

Interesting how Liverpool are playing Diaz as the central striker. The only reason this works is because of the speed Liverpool get the ball forward. 5ft 7 Diaz in our system as a striker would be like playing with 10 men

Chelsea pass profit and sustainability rules so no points deduction, they managed to pass this by selling their women’s team to themselves and selling their hotel to themselves, the latter of these has now been made illegal for accounting terms.

When the premier league bought in the P&S rules they really didn’t work that hard to close any loopholes. Surely it would have been easy enough to envisage events that if you ban a billionaire to pump money directly into in to the club they will just find a way via sponsorship, 3rd party (same ownership) company or any other way.

Forest beating Liverpool. The atmosphere is brilliant there. Every tackle is cheered like a goal, same with every Liverpool mistake, they are absolutely thriving in their ‘underdog but confident’ status

Liverpool losing
Chelsea losing
City just gave up a 92nd minute equaliser

A win tomorrow in the NLD would be a nice tonic to a bad week

Not quite sure how Forest kept Liverpool out at the end there. Great second half to watch. If Liverpool had won it they’d have deserved it but equally Forest deserved the point.
Forest defence and gk brilliant at the end. Great to see Liverpool drop points but still wary of they way they were unrelenting at the end, most days they win that, against a team who were happy to settle for their point they managed to avoid the horse shoe of death passing, didn’t resort to hopeful crosses, they move the ball forward so quickly and in central areas, they have players who dribble with the ball. Definitely weaker defensively but currently far far better going forward

This really stinks. They should have been relegated when Abramovich was sanctioned. They go on to outspend every team in the league and are allowed to fund it by selling assets to their parent company. And this is under rules brought in over the last few years. When you hear that, you'd have little confidence that City will be penalised either.

:laughing7: steady on ..... you've just dissed 95% of NZ Maoris ... 'bro' and 'cuz ' are their two favourite forms of address .

Although when they use it doesn't sound quite as stupid as some of those planks on Arse Fan TV .

Monumental game tomorrow 9am NZ time .... the opposition , two home losses in the lead up ,

We lose but have decent go I'll be fine with that ...... if we play the normal 25 million passes between Gabriel Timber Raya Saliba ; ponderous obvious approach it will show Mikel is incapable of learning .

Might as well bolt the Dante sign above the Emirates Gates ........ " Abandon all Hope , Ye who enter here .

Their last 5 premier league games are D L L D D which I’m quite enjoying. 3 points out of 15.

They’ll be emboldened that amongst all the *%^@ they’re throwing at the wall, some is sticking. Expect lots more. Hopefully the high churn of players leaves them unstable.

Gidday Ash ... not wrong ..... said to one of my sons when the Saka injury happened " this is going to be very interesting ; now who does the creating / scoring "

Zubemendi .... is he the answer ? ; can't get excited about the Spanish route after Vieira and Merino .

:laughing7: Hold on just had a thought Vieira is Portuguese .... scrambles ...okay got it not excited about the Iberian route ...does that cover Portugal as well ?

Liverpool drop points in a tough away game again. Their remaining away fixtures
Brentford
Bournemouth
Everton
Man City
Villa
Fulham
Leicester
Chelsea
Brighton

How many easy games in there? I have no doubt they will drop enough points- the bigger question is will we be able to take advantage. Maybe 85 points will go very close this year, so 14 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat in our 18 remaining games.

Ødegaard aside We have almost zero ownership in the final third to Launch attacks without saka. If we get the ball to martinelli in enough space he can attempt a take on. Thats it.

It’s nowhere near good enough and certainly light years away from a side that effortlessly wins enough matches to get a title.

With so many injuries and limited options it's hard to pick anything outstanding right now. I'd go with a 4-1-2-3. Rice holding with Ødegaard and Merino roaming initially.

Raya
Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori/Skelly
Rice
Ødegaard, Merino
Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard

Amongst that lot we're not going to blow away teams with pace but should be able to create enough to score.

Depending on how things are going then could switch to holding Merino and Rice deep, Ødegaard central in front of them and then let Timber and Skelly run overlaps on the wings with Trossard and Martinelli playing inside. Defensive risk to balls over the top to the wings as neither Rice or Merino have lots of pace but Saliba and Gabriel usually hold things up for long enough for Rice and Merino to recover into the middle.

Raya
Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori/Skelly
Rice, Merino
Ødegaard
Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard

What would the brains of the Gleiber forum come up with I wonder?

Prediction: Arsenal 6 - Spuds 1.

Sterling (assuming he starts) and Martinelli should enjoy playing against Spurs. Unfortunately not many other teams are likely to be so obliging.
