Disgusting tackle. No attempt at the ball, just brutality to kick Saka, studs down the achilles area.

Hate why this is tolerated so much. I'm sure we'll hear plenty of noise how Leif Davis is 'not that kind of player'

Merino with a cheeky assist

Saka with the afterburners. What a sight! He seems to have another gear since he came back. How good were Trossard and Merino in the build up.

Let's hope that ugly tackle didn't do any damage.

First straight red card for an Arsenal opponent for 3 years in the league

We dropped 11 points when Saka was out, and a further 4 points as Saka started on the bench in two games.

It might be stretching it a bit to say we'd win the league if he wasn't injured but we'd be a lot closer and even if you take a couple of games out of Salah's season then you are looking at a swap of places

Astonishing statistic that it's first straight red for our opponents in 3 years.

Jeez.

Booing Saka seems very silly. Like poking a hornet's nest.

Merino is playing superbly well, just knitting everything together.

Saka getting booed by the home crowd - idiots.

We need to make sure it doesn't become too easy for us and Ipswich feel like we're taking the mick because those kind of tackles will keep coming in.

I'd say Saka had to play today or Wednesday just to keep him at the right level. I'd be surprised if he started on Wednesday.

You have to go back a LOT longer for a straight red wish was actually given on the pitch, that one 3 years ago was an awful two footer from Luke Ayling of Leeds and it was only given by a var recommendation

These should be straight reds every single time. Anything like this with a clear intention to play the man dangerously with zero attempt at the ball is awful.
Players have huge responsibility for a fellow players career. We saw what happened with Diaby, an entire career ruined because some prat got frustrated at being 3-0 down and humiliated.

Unbelievably there are people on the BBC and Guardian websites suggesting it should have been a yellow.

Saka coming off, these inbred Ipswich fans won't get to see a player of his class again for a fair while, you kicked him out of the game and booed him - you don't deserve to have him play on your pitch.

Merino also coming off.

MLS and Nwaneri on

Zinchenko is playing in midfield and MLS at left back. Interesting ahead of the PSG tie

Oh yes, they will. When Saka is playing for England :42laughter:

Such an obvious red. These comments must be from Spurs fans

Nice to get the 3rd, 2-0 isn't as secure as you want irrespective of how poor Ipswich are.

3-0 also better reflects our total dominance. The red card has made it a nothing game. Ipswich are just sitting 9 men inside the box, no interest in doing anything and Arsenal have no great incentive to bust a gut for more goals

Sterling and Tierney on for Rice and Martinelli.

Not sure who is playing where here?

Does that 3rd goal count as a set piece goal? - short corner fed in to Trossard to score

They are heading to finish 17th. How is the manager going to stay on? There has been zero improvement.

We're 9 points ahead of Chelsea, Forest, Villa in 5th/6th/7th

Chelsea have a very tough run in and play Forest away on the final day, that could easily be a winner takes 5th and CL game and I'm not sure Chelsea have the cojones for it at The City ground.

In theory we need 2 wins to seal top 4 but that's on the assumption those teams win every game.

I expect us to rotate again v Palace but the PSG game is still 6 days later so some players will still want to keep fresh. I expect Palace to rotate quite a lot as their FA Cup Semi final is only 3 days after they play us. We should get the 3 points there
