True Gunny but I think they’ll beat Bournemouth and Fulham … hope I’m wrong
I still think we’ll squeak it but … frustrating how it’s all gone pear shaped.

If we don't win today, it will be 3 wins in 11league matches. That's barely mid-table form.

There’s a couple of banana skins in there which could help but I’m going to assume they all win out
So even a point today means we still need 3 at Soham last game

Next weeks game against Toon is like a cup final hope Deccers and Timber are fit for what is going to be a physical challenge

Nope you already convinced me, it's the Europa league for us. I wonder if the board would sack him if he doesn't get CL

So much lame punditry on today's game....

'This is why Liverpool have won the league.....'

No. It is not.

Arsenal players are knackered from wednesday and most Liverpool players were rested last weekend.

Yeah some choice you've got two clubs in bottom half. One a neighbour that acts like they've made it to the big leagues. :14laughter:

Trossard down which is a shame.

He’s not my favourite player but I think he’s been our best player today.

Nunez stands on Merino’s ankle but they get the free kick and a sending off.

Hmmm.

The second one was nailed on. Wildly inaccurate.

Quite surpised to see ALL of our abundant stock of left backs before Nwaneri.

Not saying Merino’s scythe wasn’t worthy of a card, but just before that Nunez stands on Merino’s ankle. Should have been a free kick to us.

Unless I was dreaming it?

He doesn't trust Nwaneri at the moment.

Antony Taylor is a CNT - where on earth did 10 extra minutes come from??

Great point, really really valuable

I wonder if we missed a trick not playing more Martinelli up front. He movement off the ball is very good.

Really good second half.

That fightback should give us confidence for the last two games, and hopefully nail down second place.

Besides the clear foul on MLS, Robertson was offside anyway.

Yeah I think we'll beat Newcastle. Also for most of the second half today we were better than a full strength Liverpool. We may not win the league next year but I don't think Liverpool will either. The booing of Trent Alexander was funny as was booing us when we formed the guard of honour.

Yeah. Three points above City (with decent goal difference advantage) is very valuable indeed.

One more point to ensure ECL and 4 more for 2nd.

Classy aren't they? That last second goal being disallowed was delicious.

Forgive my earlier negativity Danny….great fight back …. Well done lads… same fighting spirit against Toon… I’m guessing Rice back for suspended Merino and Timber in at rb

TBH I've often found Liverpool fans to be fair and knowledgeable if not a bit thin skinned. Yes disallowing that goal was also funny.

At half time who saw that fight back? I think getting a point has pissed off Villa, City, Chelsea no end puts a bit of pressure on them.

Didn’t see any of the game but stoked that we avoided a loss. Suffered the Newcastle game on the car radio when heading home and seemed they were more intent on getting a second Chelsea player sent off than actually going for a win. Starting to find them a very unlikeable outfit and hope we can muster enough next week to piss on their parade.

Given the points tallies at the top, it's a really big point - particularly in context with City drawing.

The lads will be bang up for Newcastle.

The dirtiest and most underhandedly cynical team in the league. Absolutely horrible bunch.

Yep, cannot like Newcastle

Jackson deserved the red, but somewhat ironic that Guimaeres did the same to Jorginho last year and nothing happened.....

I don't like Howe, I don't like the way they play, they invariably seem to get a lot of refereeing decisions, nothing to do with the Saudi money I'm sure

Switching Martinelli to the centre - wonder if he'll try that again?

Seemed to work well.

Decent point.

I have to say I don’t really understand why we haven’t had Martinelli up front more. He has more of a nose for goals than Merino and Trossard. I thought his header was quite well placed and deft. His pace represents more of a challenge centrally. Never mind too late now.

We have to beat Newcastle not only are they dislikable but we owe them one and you don’t want it going down to the last day. I just remember that 3 all when we expected to beat them and Ramsdale made a howler and we blew it. Away anything could happen, some weird result.
