I must confess that watching that turnip and the rest of the AFTV muppets having paroxysms made me feel quite cheerful. :laughing7:

Basically they are choosing to go full r%$&^* to get people’s attention. Reminded me of this …

Interesting, media coverage of Liverpool dropping two points in one of their first difficult away games with many more to come. Headlines are all about super Liverpool.
People have said the negative Arsenal slant in the media is because we’re such a big club it drives engagement etc - whilst that is likely true it doesn’t explain the unbelievably favourable press Liverpool get at every turn - so strange.
I wonder if there is a class thing, Liverpool seen as working class city, salt of the earth people, the underdog - London, billy big boys, rich, elite, looking down their nose at others and think they are superior.

Of course I could be reading too much in to it as well! :8angers:

Ødegaard aside We have almost zero ownership in the final third to Launch attacks without saka. If we get the ball to martinelli in enough space he can attempt a take on. Thats it.

It’s nowhere near good enough and certainly light years away from a side that effortlessly wins enough matches to get a title.

Sterling (assuming he starts) and Martinelli should enjoy playing against Spurs. Unfortunately not many other teams are likely to be so obliging.

As long as we realise that spurs play a suicidal high line with their full backs tucked in to central midfield so the way to hurt them is fast balls over the top or in to the full back zones. It’s not a tactic we usually use.

I feel it will be a nervy 1-0 from a set piece.

It’s such a huge game. It’s a NLD, we can take advantage of every rival dropping 2 points, and turn around the negativity surrounding us currently. Recently whenever Liverpool have dropped points so have we in the same week. We have to start putting the pressure on to see how they fare

it’s just not a story, they have a 7 point lead on equal games. It’s hardly a game of cat and mouse to report on. A draw away at a decent forest is not to be sniffed at.

Plus they know we are probably going to balls it up tonight :laughing7:

Superior little toe rag , sitting comfortably in front of his TV , coffee , toast and jam alongside ...... 16, 893 kilometers from the action

; those blokes are shelling out $392 to perhaps watch the Saliba Gabriel Raya kick around ; They've got " mates " salivating at the chance to royally take the p***ss .

By comparison you've got no skin in the game .

That should be a yellow. Classic case of a ref letting the first bad one go

Spurs gk so so lucky, tackled by Havertz and the loose ball falls back to him to grab when it could have easily fallen to Havertz to put in the empty net. Fine margins again

There it is again, we dominate but let the opposition score on their infrequent attacks.
Why is Son left on his own?

FFs. All over them, then they score from a deflection. This has to stop happening. We’re conceding first when dominating so often. Infuriating

Trossard had a chance similar to Son’s and miss kicked it, son hits it hard low and on target and gets a bit of luck. Out gereral ball striking is woeful in front of goal

Easier to defend than score, Son is natural goal scorer we don't have one.

We have to get these set pieces in quicker. 30 seconds for that corner, it kills momentum

Might be an own goal. We really needed that

The corner shouldn’t have been ours it should have been a goal kick. Nice slice of luck there

God bless corners. We have nothing else.

There is absolutely no focus to our attack.

Fine tackle from Partey in midfield to set up that counter. Finally a nice clean hard low strike. Gk might have saved it but take those kind of shots and you give it a chance that the gk might make a mistake

Spurs have been asking for that. That was the first time we've not either lacked pace or being to slow with the pass.

What a relief to be ahead now. I was worried we would struggle to score any goals.

We are far more aggressive and when are that way you'll win the ball back most of the time putting yourself on the front foot.

Havertz will need to be careful here. We are in a very good position now unless he gets a second yellow card

Watch the ref oblige them
