Interesting team selection.

Could be a team with goals in it

Arteta shaking things up a bit. Ceballos, Nketiah, no Lacazette, I'm a fan of Ceballos, I think he will do well. He needs a run of games to get back into things, it may not happen in this match but I think he will come good.

Mustafi must rank near the top of most starts for us over his career.

The pundit said we are unbeaten in 2020. The run to go unbeaten and retake once Liverpool gets it started on January 1st.

The commentator said "He didn't need to do that" referring to Xhaka holding the player and I'm thinking "Yes, he does, he's slow as molasses."

Xhaka early yellow for a shirt pull. We will never be able to coach it out of him.

Sounds like we haven’t even got started yet. Crowd get on the teams back so quickly but equally the players start so slowly in so many teams which fails to lift the crowd at all.

When you watch Barcelona, City, Liverpool, the first instinct of the midfield players who receive the ball in the middle of the pitch is to look to pass forward, our players look to kick it backwards. Frustrating to watch.

Glad the coaches are reading the SG forum and particularly my comments in real time. A bit better Arsenal.

Last 5 minutes much more promising. At least we now look like the home side.

Saka spends too much time doing step overs. One time it sometimes into the box or to a player. Get some one touch football going.

Pépé needs to take the game by the scruff of the neck. I don't want to see him make little two yard passes, I want to see him dribble past players and make runs in behind. Get the crowd going.

Dull, dull, dull and then there’s Xakha, gawd.

We just look like a team struggling to score.

don’t ping the ball about quick enough. Think Ceballos looks a better option in deep midfield though.

Martinelli for nketiah and Aubameyang to the middle for me. Tough on Eddie who clearly wants to do well but it’s more about the balance of the side

Watch the penalty given by var for spurs today. Does anyone think that gets given every single week, even on var?

Bellerin is like a volleyboard ..... everytime he gets the ball he passes it straight back . Two guys who set Europe alight Pépé and Aubameyang look very ordinary I'd swap them both for Son Heung - min .

:laughing7: I know how to pick em ..... all three pull their fingers out and start producing

That would be the ‘very ordinary’ Aubameyang that just opened the scoring then? :42laughter:

Change of pattern from recent matches. We’ve tended to come racing out of the blocks and then fade away to a tepid second half. Today, so far, it’s rather the reverse.
