I've said this many times, over the past few years Liverpool have created the perfect storm, recruited a top manager whilst buying and selling brilliantly. Who would have thought that Mané, Salah and Firmino would turn out to be the worldbeaters they have. Selling Coutinho for £120m and buying a worldclass goalkeeper and CB has proved a masterstroke. Add that touch of luck at the right times that everybody needs and it is a potent mix.

When I left the club it was in a very strong financial position and they bought many players in between. They haven’t all worked out, but it’s not a question of time. The change can be very efficient and happen quickly. It’s about making the right decisions, that’s what its about in football. We speak about Liverpool and their success. Of course they have a great manager but you have to say that Liverpool in the last three or four years, they bought the right players.

The team I just saw on my screen is a bit of a joke really. Saka at RB, Chambers again Nelson. No Guendouzi. I’m going to bed & will watch it in the morning.

Not sure what formation he's going with, but hopefully everyone in the starting XI will have understood they are playing for their futures at The Arsenal. Let's see who wants to be there.

Lots of cause for optimism there despite the complete absence of experience as being the main man. Fingers crossed.
