The rule was changed to penalise any touch by the hand or arm that directly leads to a goal on the back of the spurs goal by Llorente than knocked City out of the champions league 2 years ago. Now it seems the rule is being changed back from the start of next year to a more sensible approach but not one that will stop the arguments

A little disappointed to see Pépé on the bench, but that's a strong lineup.

Yeah, that's reasonable. Arteta is probably prioritizing playing Willian into form since Pépé and Saka are already there so to speak. Would like to see Pépé get a proper run of games though.

I like Partey and think he will become a fine signing. But I think it’s necessary to be realistic about his performances so far, rather than pretending he’s hit the ground running. Well if that’s hitting the ground running, I’ve seen seen 90 year olds on crutches outpace him.

Wherever it went to from there the game should continue as it wasn't handball imo?

Slightly harsh on Pépé I feel as he played so well in the last game. Arteta opting for ball retention to wear down Burnley through Willian rather than incision. Mass vigil with flowers and candles because he didn’t start Martinelli again

Its difficult when they are all on form and injury-free. I do hope Burnley don't do something about the latter.

Minor but I'd like to see Tierney add cutting in on his right to his game. He's great at going to his preferred left and crossing but that can be sussed out easily with one video. On a side note, the claret and blue style shirts (West Ham, Burnley) I've seen in a few clubs, more than I thought with that color scheme. Intersting. Just an observation. Great goal. Good to see Willian running at the defense. He's playing better. There I said it. Sue me.

Poor defending by Burnley. The defence just ran backwards when Willian was running at them, Aubameyang sent them all in the wrong direction and the keeper should have kept the shot out.

Enjoying those Aubameyang stopovers coming in from the left and firing low to the near post. Sold 2 Burnley defenders completely the wrong way. Very similar to the Leeds goal. Elite players still find a way of doing the exact thing you know they want to and are going to do but you still can’t stop it
