Chambers too busy appealing for offside, twice, then we had 2 maybe 3 defenders up against zaha, just no need to dive in or give him the opportunity to throw himself over a leg. Our players defend inside the box as they do outside the box which is utterly atupid. With the way the game is now you just don’t try to make tackles in the box, you stay on your feet and jockey the player and move him away from goal

and it is. As usual another first for us. Ref never been overruled in previous games over pens.

Perhaps there’s been a change behind the scenes. None had been awarded until this weekend. But one was yesterday as well as this one today.

Makes sense though. Much better than the nonsense about hairline offsides.

There’s been a definite change. Up until this week the directive was just go with the ref don’t over rule, suddenly it gets lots of criticism and you see 4 or 5 pens given by VAR this weekend alone. It’s much better but what about those teams who had valid pen claims in the first 9 weeks of the season!

One v one versus trickery and pace is Chambers's achilles heel as a RB. He's not nimble or quick enough on the turn.

Meanwhile I'd love to hear what Klopp is saying to his players............

Hate to say it but I'd love to see the meltdown from a Spuds win :1laughter:

Pool down at home at half-time. A draw or a loss for them are both welcomed. Then, most Arsenal fans would love to see them lose that unbeaten run threat as quickly as possible. AG is the biggest one out there wishing hard for a Pool loss. :53big-emoticons:

Atkinson firmly annoying the home fans. Every 50/50 is going palaces way at the moment. Frustrating how our forwards are fair game for some strong challenges from CB but ours can’t touch a thing

As you say it’s much better. Can’t unpick the previous bad/non decisions.

All the pressure from palace thanks to Atkinson giving them every free kick this half. Such one sided officiating has helped palace maintain the pressure

1-1.
and 2-2 for us. Both utterly predictable.

Did the commentator just said " Xhaka just wasn't good enough"?

Palace definitely targeting our right side. Chambers is weakest link.

That midfield is basically Guendouzi solo with the other 2 just numbers out of their depth.

They have played the better football

Except when it happened earlier in the season in one of our games the ref gave the ball to the side that made the pass

I do feel for him. Getting jeered by your own fans is not nice. Though, he really is not good enough for us, less so as Captain. So many Captains lead their teams with so much energy and drive. They ooze confidence and the team get confident as well. Xhaka just doesn't do it for Arsenal.

My fear is arsenal will only sack emery once it’s certain he has failed in delivering champions league football. In which case it is another year where we don’t want to be. Don’t take the risk, we’re going nowhere with this manager, get rid of him now and we might have a chance of making something from this season. Emery has lost the fans and the players don’t seem to know what to do and they clearly aren’t playing for him.

Yes, but 11 shots on target to Spurs 1, and 78% of possession.

Liverpool concede a goal and its like Spurs threw a rock at a beehive. We concede at 2-0 and its like someone opened the door of the souffle oven at the wrong time.

Spurs losing is the only silver lining.
