MU is there for the taking. Time for Emery to crank it further up.

His magic is no longer there

Neither is his ability to make his players pull out the extra motivation to beat us.................

I'm hoping and praying for 3 points, nothing less.

To beat spurs and united in 7 days would be special, they have to believe they can do it.

Those 3 goals in the second half were absolutely brilliant moments.

1. Aubameyang - 2 passes and back of the net! Amazing moment; didn't see it coming until the ball was past Lloris and in the far corner. It's nice to have a world class striker.
2. Lacazette - this one was special for the pure fact it looked like the chance was gone. When he hit it, thought, nah he hasn't caught it at all, then watch as ball nestles in the bottom corner. Only saw the nick of Dier on the replay. Yeoooooo..
3. Torriera - the icing on the cake as the mighty Uruguayan slots it past Lloris after a peach of a ball from Aubameyang to take Dier out of the game. Commentator yelling "TORRIERAAAAAAAAAA" as he hits it makes it all the better.

Watched the highlights reel about 5 times now.

Lets hope we can turn up at Old Trafford on Wednesday night and keep the good times rollin'.

Xhaka's suspension is a blow. That speaks to his improvement and our well oiled midfield this season. Have full confidence in Guendouzi though. He also looks a bit special.

Also enjoyed Emery's very smug looking face when Arsenal took the lead or scored the 4th can't remember which. It was very much a my work here is done look. Well played that man.

Emery’s substitutions are remarkable and seem to change the game every time.

It’s almost a complete contrast to wengers energy only subs in the 70th minute. It’s from one extreme to the other.

I can’t see how anyone could be anything other than hugely impressed by the new manager

That's almost as good as Aubameyang's finish for the second goal. Pure class.

It's been an absolutely brilliant start to his Arsenal career.

Its not just the subs. Its also that he is happy to keep the likes of Lacazette on the bench and doesn't feel he has to shoe horn all the favourites in

So how many of the first 11 should start the league cup game v spurs? It is sandwiched between prem games v Southampton and Burnley so there is potential to rotate in those games. We have our final European game v Qarabag - but with top spot sealed we have earned the privilege to play the u21’s in that game. I wouldn’t even risk players like Lichtsteiner

As their replay will be in Blackpool, it seems a reasonable assumption they'll win. If so we'll have got them in both the League Cup and FA Cup this season.

We need to play a strong team, in my opinion. There's a time to be cautious, but when we have a chance of knocking Tottenham out of a cup we must take advantage of it.

I would play a full strength team against Spurs again. I'd be quite happy with a league cup trophy this season as a good start to the new era.

It is strange how the potential offside for Dier’s goal wasn’t investigated properly by any of the tv or highlight shows. Tv shows particularly sky love a good controversy so it’s surprising they didn’t even show us the proper replay with an angle where we could see in line with the players. Very tough for the lino to judge it so I don’t blame them too much but it would be nice to have actually seen a proper replay of a big incident

Favourite moment Torreira after getting mobbed and hammering the turf with his fist - blowing kisses to the Arsenal fans after he scored. As if you couldn’t love him any more.

I love that little guy. The goal celebration was my favourite since we’ve been at the Emirates. He went mental and it meant everything to him and you could see it.

The fact he looks like a character off “Narcos” makes him even more distinctive. He’s going to be a hero for us

Unai Emery says Mesut Özil remains a doubt for Man United because of his back problem: "Today he was working alone, I don’t know if he’s OK for Wednesday."

Quite clear from that comment there’s an issue

Just hope we can get up for Man Utd (which shouldn't be difficult I would think) after an emotional and exhausting derby.

Not much rest for such a big match.

My guess is we see Özil start as well as Lacazette due to having more rest. Possibly.

...and Ramsey. 50/50 if we see Aubie start. He may come off the bench in the 2nd half.

Ha ha, "Narcos". That is a good TV series.

Because he’s technically excellent, doesn’t lose the ball and looked a natural for that goal, he has an all round game that someone comparable like Kanté, as good as he is, doesn’t have. So if - when - his level drops he’s got other things to offer. Would very much like to see him offered all the money soon for a long term contract.

Ashley Young is suspended for Man U tonight, not a big deal but one thing Young does offer still is a fantastic delivery from set pieces. It is one area Man U on paper can beat us at and I’m sure one Jose will look to exploit. Minus Young’s delivery makes me feel a bit better.

Given our terrible record there, and their annoying habit of winning a big match despite being shite, I wouldn't be surprised if they beat us. If they lose, Top 4 is gone for them and probably Mourinho too.

I'm nervous about it too. Worst Man U for years, best Arsenal, but sods law says they'll beat us. Having said that I would never tip us as that would just put the hex on the fixture.

Ramsey in for Mkhitaryan and Geundozi for Xhaka. Same as against Tottenham apart from that. Pogba benched for United.

Yeah, there's something about going to Old Trafford as clear favourites that doesn't sit well with me. Looking at the starting lineups we're clearly better, but once the match starts it's never that easy.

1-0 Mustafi. None of the replays showed the ball clearly crossing the line, but there you go.
