Totally weird watching Arsenal this season. Absolute Jekyll and Hyde. How can a team that puts in such turgid dross in recent league games manage to morph into producing such stunning class?

Hard to believe. We’ve won a European semi-final by 7-3. Seriously impressive.

Who needs a midfield when we have PEA and Lacazette?

They are our team.

It wasn't stunning though. Lacazette was great and Aubameyang was just supreme. The midfield was pretty poor though. Brilliant from the two forwards but the general play of the rest of the team wasn't great.

Lost a bit of respect for Valencia at the end. Aubameyang was toying with hem beating men for fun and they deliberately hacked him down twice through petulance and then they kicked off a mini brawl right on full time. And yet it was AMN who got booked, no idea what he did wrong it was certainly Valencia who were the aggressors at the end.

Wow, what an amazing performance.

Aubameyang and Lacazette produced as good a performance from a pair of strikers as I have seen in years (well since last night anyway).

Aubameyang was scintillating and Lacazette's all round game was just outstanding.

2 man demolition job. Sokratis did ok in defence but it was a pretty average performance until these two got the ball.

If the front two play like that in the final we’ll win. We’d beat most teams when the front two play like that.

And don’t let anyone tell you it was just finishing. The off the ball workrate was superb, the link up play, the aggression the skill. It was the best strike partnership performance I’ve seen from an Arsenal pair for a long long time

Urgh that was horrible wasn’t. I think the olés from the crowd pissed them right off as well.

Is there any yellow card amnesty in the latter stages somewhere?

2 weeks until the final. I assume there is no chance of Ramsey being fit? Him behind that front two is the perfect fit for this formation.

It might be churlish to pick at things after we won and got to a final but the left side of Monreal and Kolasinac is really weak. Monreal has been class for us but he’s on the wane. Think I prefer him at left wing back than CB. Kolasinac just doesn’t seem to have any impact on the game either attacking or defensive.

A top class left back should be a high priority this summer. I’d goand buy 2 if we could get £15m for Kolasinac

I've always liked Frankfurt since reading about them getting stuffed 7-3 at Hampden by the Madrid of Puskas and Di Stefano when I was a kid.
And 'Eintracht Frankfurt' sounds so German its it's hard not to say it with a fake WW2 German accent.

I think Kola is the weak link tbf to Monreal. In the system we play, Kola’s offensive work isn’t enough to offset his lack of defensive nous. We need a better left amf imo

Koscielny really worries me these days. Did anyone else notice how seriously outpaced he was with a Valencia through ball about three or four minutes into the game? Whether it's age, injuries or a mix of both, he's lost his pace and doesn't have the ability to read the game and the organisational skills that enabled Mertesacker to get away with a lack of pace.

I agree with DHD. He won't even be an adequate squad back up next season and I hope he retires.

Before extra time, Chelsea gathered in a huddle, players and all staff, except Sarri. Azpilicueta gave the pep talk as Sarri walked up and down near the tunnel. Eintracht coach Hutter right in the middle of their huddle, talking demonstratively.

Let’s sack Emery cause he didn’t improve the defence and appoint Sarri

All the 3 centre backs were short paced. I thought Monreal looked a rabbit in headlights

These games are beyond those guys

I thought Kos was the pick of the bunch (albeit a fairly ordinary bunch) out of the three CBs tonight. Monreal's ball watching is a big issue and Sokratis is a bit headless.

So which CB do you play in he final?
Sokratis must be first choice.
If it’s a back 4 it’s with Koscielny
If it’s a back 3 do you bring in mustafi and hope his pace and aerial ability outweigh his tendency to mess up. Or play Monreal?

You're right, take out Aubameyang and Lacazette and we are an incredibly average side.

However, we got there and that's all that matters.

20 days til the final. Two clubs 6 miles apart are travelling 3000 miles to play a game of football. It better bloody be worth it.

Great performance from us tonight. Just wish we weren’t playing Chelsea in the final. Still you have to be in it to win.
