Yeah well. That’s been coming hasn’t it?

Perhaps that will wake us up.

It was rather asking for trouble playing on the basis that we don’t give a goal away. Also simply asking the opposition to come at us.

We've been sleepwalking into that as you suggest. Very poor performance so far.

We needed to keep them occupied. And we simply haven’t. It’s looked like a pre-match kick around.

A shot. Scuffed and off target but it does double our haul for the evening.

Bellerin being skinned alive by that little bloke wide left. Looks off the pace.

Get Lacazette or Pépé off and bring on wonder boy Martinelli.

Nobody up front is making any runs. There is no obvious attacking pass available.

Jeez. 70 mins and not a single shot on target.

Don't worry Arsenal. You have all the time in the world. Your chances of scoring are greatly improved by making the same exact passes to the same exact players in the same exact areas and the forward players in the same exact area.

Great skill Pépé, but totally ineffective. Perhaps try a shot next time eh.

Pépé has to learn when to stop the tricks, step overs and fakes and just pass or shoot the damn thing.

Pépé gets a bit more of a footballing brain he will be dangerous.

Ha ha. Torreira marking Ba at the corner. Nuts.

And now there’s 30 more minutes of this entertainment. Yawn.

I'm never convinced by Arteta's substitutions. Why Willock and not Martinelli?

How ridiculous putting Torreira to mark Ba in the corner. Ba wouldn't need to do much if the ball comes his way.

Really poor tonight. All the worst attributes in the team. Passing too slow, too many touches, no off ball movement, no tempo.
I’m still smarting from that ref decision to not send their guy off in the first half. Might not have changed our ability to be woeful tonight but playing 10 men for 70 minutes has a huge bearing on the tie

A very lethargic Arsenal team tonight. What happened?

Worst 90 minutes of Arteta's time by some distance. Woeful.
Let's hope we can claw our way through somehow.

Looks like we started on the basis that we just needed to turn up to go through. Difficult to ramp it up from there.

In fact it’s a bit like watching a game of walking football.

It is evident that at least 2 defenders will crowd out Pépé when he has the ball. Why don't Arsenal have a tactic for runners to offer Pépé an out-ball? Twice there, Özil preferred to hang so far back than to run forward to receive a through ball.

About time we take Lacazette out. He had been ineffective tonight.

Well Martinelli has made a difference. Creates the opportunity for Aubameyang.

Look at the relief from the Arsenal players. And Aubameyang was so emotional there. Good one lad :58big-emoticons:

You’ve got to admire the enthusiasm. Crowd now singing “the greatest team the world has ever seen”.

Can't we defend properly? Just hold on to the lead, and we mess it up.

F me. How did Aubameyang miss that!

Weirdly we could have clawed it back right at the death. Sums it all up really.

Got exactly what we deserved. Not a shot on target until the 76th minute at home against mediocre opponents is simply not good enough.

Sorry but we are lacking quality all over the pitch.

That's no CL football for another season then.

Aubameyang misses a virtual open goal from 4 yards. He scored that 999 times out of 1000.

The perfect storm of a game is complete.

Awful ref call to not send their man off
Slack defending from set pieces
Dominate possession but no goal threat
Miss a sitter at the end

Don’t deserve to save anything from this absolute mess of a season. Terrible performance
