I get the missus to do mine.

Any road, nice to talk to somebody from a more manly part of t'world where fools are not suffered gladly and jokes are frowned on unless it involves a bit of non-PC "fancy dress" and a bonfire. (My home town of Eckythump is twinned with Mungallala).

Two London teams in t'cup tonight - tricky one for northern refs he might have to even up the cards a bit.

No doubt yon Lomekian will be on screaming like a tart in a toaster.

It's a pity the club has gone so PC because I am pretty sure that Iwobi would not go to any more drug parties the night of a game if we applied a good old fashioned discipline. Something like this

AW 'Well Alex I understand that you are shown in he newspaper to have attended a drugs party the night before a game. Rather than fine you an amount of money that would hardly be noticed missing from your weekly pay we will impose another deterrent penalty that is not negotiable.'
Iwobi 'Look boss it was all a misunderstanding. That was a sherbet party and the white powder was a lolly. '
AW 'You know how the press blow these things out of proportion. To protect the reputation of the club we must take steps to make sure that drugs are not involved. This may mean we have to conduct searches of you to make sure that you don't have possession of drugs.'
Iwobi: 'No problem you can look in my bag and things starting tomorrow. '
AW: 'I am glad you have agreed and yes we can start tomorrow if you would prefer. Let me introduce you to Irena from Russia who used to work for the KGB.'
Iwobi looks up with surprise and notices a large overweight Russian woman enter the room.
AW: 'Irena will be conducting internal searches for drugs for the next 2 months. ' All Iwoba hears before fainting is the sound of an extra large pair of gloves being stretched over Irenas chubby fingers.

Then your saying we can compete for the title with Aaron playing the number ten role?

On the basis he's scored 32 goals in his career now aged 27 if keeps up this strike rate he could finish his Arsenal career on around 50/60 goals depending on his time of retirement or being sold off. This is about a third of what Frank Lampard scored at Chelsea and their games were similar as based on making runs into the box and movement rather than passing attributes.

Therefore Ramsey is a third of the player Lampard was. You don't win titles with players of this type being your focal midfielder

We have very good players but are underperforming. Likes of Ramsey, Lacazette, and Xhaka can shine in a proper set up. So too Wilshere, Welbeck, Bellerin and the rest.

With Özil and Sanchez, the current squad should really be finishing higher than 6th and competing for the title. Without them, a top four finish should not be beyond the current players. Problem is Wenger has not been able to motivate the players and organize them as a cohesive unit.

Matt Law just tweeted ...

Sums up Wenger’s strange management that Iwobi gets caught partying but is set to play for Arsenal against Chelsea tonight - some punishment, that.

Looks that way I mean he misses very difficult matchs up north and didn't play at the weekend. He's clearly micro managing what games he's playing in.

Chelsea put out a decent side tonight and we are liable to get hammered

Some info on mooted target, Pavon. It's probably bollocks but some good goals in there regardless.

Cristian Pavón ● Goals & Skills ● 2016/17

In 2017, he was selected to the Argentina national team for friendlies against Russia and Nigeria. He had an impressive debut against Russia, assisting Sergio Aguero on the only goal of the game. He made another assist for Aguero to score against Nigeria that ultimately ended in a 4-2 loss.

Hopefully it's a sign of the power drain away from him. Either that, or someone's whacked him over the head.

There'll be no forgiving the mad professor if he plays a weak team tonight.

This is a semi final of a cup he has never won, anything short of a strong first team will be unforgivable.

Timing of this Ancellotti stuff is interesting.

The standard seem to have ran the "exclusive" and it's the day of a semi final where we are probably going to take a complete hammering with Wenger likely to get both barrels if it goes wrong. Timing just seems very weird.

Wether he would be the right choice is another question.

Not sure I can even remember any rumours about new managers for Arsenal. I think the only ones I've seen are rumours about who might replace Wenger when he decides to step aside.

We're in the end game it's obvious. Too many big media outlets reporting this. A hammering tonight and we might see the pace pick up even more...

In any case the tanks are moving. This is the last season I am sure of it.

Not really sure about Carlos Ancelotti, though at this point I would obviously not be against it. He’s been at a lot of big clubs and won a lot of trophies, but most of those teams were pretty much set when he arrived. His best period for me was with Milan when they reached the Champions League final three times in five seasons (and should’ve won all three). That team was largely built by Ancelotti as well.

Judging by the job he did at Bayern Munich, I wouldn't be thrilled if Ancelotti came to Arsenal. The only reason I wouldn't be against it is he isn't Wenger, which is the same reason I wouldn't be against anyone.

Reminds me of my last doctors visit. After the prostate exam the doctor left the room.
Then the nurse walked in and says "Who was that ? "

Wenger moves upstairs and Mourinho becomes manager. That would be the greatest comedy show on earth and would top trumps presidency in terms of hysterical turmoil

But actually my first choice wouldn't be Ancellotti. I would go for a younger hungrier type Allegri, Vieira or Simeone would be a dream and absolutely what's required. Somebody who kicks every ball

Although a great player, I'd prefer someone more experienced than Vieira to take over. He'd be a bit of a punt - although if it's him or Wenger, I'd take him.

Allegri and Jardim if we want young managers who play attacking football. Simeone if we want a cross between Conte and mourinho - would sort our defence and play on the counter.
Vieira and Arteta may have great careers ahead of them but not ready for us and the job after wenger.

Will wenger do his usual tactics, ignore the defence and off the ball and go for a basketball style game like the emirates.....which considering the chances we have Chelsea was amazing we got out with a 2-2 in the end. Or will wenger do what he’s only done a handful of times in his arsenal career and realise this is a 2 leg knock out completion, we’re ravaged with injuries and bad form and decide to make sure we stay in the tie at half time?

We’ve been out of the tie at half time in all our recent 2 legged matches

Arteta non, Patrick wee

I wouldn't mind Conte, he runs around his technical area like a little ferret. It's great to watch if you have seen Chelsea

I think we need mass change and revolution. I'd prefer not an Ancellotti type who has been there done and won it
