A big away test, being a London derby. We are still a work in progress. I'm not going to get overly excited about a win over an out of form Man Utd side. It's more of a psychological win. A huge boost beating Man Utd no matter what form they are in. But let's put it in its proper perspective. We are visibly better. First half against Chelsea and the 2nd half, Man Utd, 2nd half of Leeds. We aren't close to being there yet, we will have bumps in the road on the way there. A draw at worse I think though is what I think may happen. But thinking win quietly.

Yeah sorry - I was away down the South Coast at a gig tonight and got home after 3:30 am and noticed it had crashed again.

Different table this time. Odd.

So before going to bed you just thought that you’d do that. You deserve a pay rise.

This scout, Orlandelli is coming back but frankly, he doesn't exactly have a great transfer record with us.

FFS Rog - please don't mention different tables until we've got a few more wins under our belt this term. Put the wind up me, that did!

Anyway, today in 1953 we played Doncaster Rovers at home in the FA Cup.

Jeez haven't seen a spot the ball coupon in years. I remember when the man used to bring them round for my Dad, with the pools coupons, in his brown leather satchel. They all seemed to have brown leather satchels. Every Thurday if I remember correctly.

You saying that reminded me of this photo from the slightly more niche Spot the Head coupons.

Can you rule out immediately that we are being hacked by the CIA. Apparently one of the forumites who hails from the US is one of their analysts for the war against Iran. He had previously IDed some WMD's a few years back in the middle east.

Apparently the CIA are concerned about the treatment of this top men.

This is wonderful. Tony Visconti using the masters from Heroes to strip the track down then build it back up.

Seems like smith-Rowe has joined Huddersfield on loan and John-jules has joined Lincoln on loan. I’m sure Nketiah will go out somewhere as well

I'm curious what are the things the club looks for when loaning a player out? I would like to think there are two things that would be required. Good, solid coaching, playing time and a style of play similar to ours.

American Goner's second team is "palace", isn't it?

So, American Gooner, could you please give the Forum a bit of info about "palace". How do they set up, any weaknesses in defence that we could exploit? What about their best players, and the injury list?

What about their "Ultras"? Do you think it's going to get "tasty" outside the ground? Do you think the Arsenal Massive will have a chance to be heard?

No, no, a more simple question...

Name 2 Palace players. Just 2.

The conspiracy just goes & grows. You don’t think Prince Andrew might have got wind of his name being mentioned on this site. Bloody Royals - nothing can stop them.

Not sure who listens to the Arseblog podcasts but the discussion on the latest podcast about how Brexit will restrict young foreigners coming to EPL clubs. Martenelli may be the last of that class we may see.

The bottom line is we probably could not sign a Fabergas or Bellerin after the exit.

As it would presumably affect every big club in exactly the same way, I imagine some sort of rule will be brought in or loophole used to enable it to continue.

Additionally Martinelli is Brazilian. Brazil were obviously never in the EU and he was signed anyway. So why will membership (or not) of the EU make any difference?

Let me clarify I’m not stating any support or opposition to Brexit with this post. I’m just mentioning why I’m as yet uncertain how valid the points you raise from the Arseblog podcast (which I’ve never listened to) are. Perhaps I’m mistaken.

3 big ifs, but if we can get the Barca and Juve defenders, or either along with Saliba and with Bellerin and Teirney, the back line will look pretty darn decent. :58big-emoticons: I'm as excited about our link to that center mid as well. We are pretty good going forward.

The defense was expected to be an issue and it came to fruition. We need to start rebuilding from the back.

Did anyone else have that game Striker as a kid. The one where you pushed down their heads to kick the ball? In totally unrelated news we signed Brian Talbot today in 1979.

Tried to reply to Bernard but got an SQL error.

Bernard , Martenelli has an Italian parent so he came thru the EU. Otherwise back to the old days of proving how big a talent is you want to sign. Number of caps and depends on the country as well. Remember Joel Campbell could never really get accepted.

Nope. Subbuteo was the one for me. The older version with flat players - card or the dearer celluloid.

The team is playing with a wonderful cohesiveness and a strong belief. Arteta has done wonders with the players.

A wonderful goal, well done Aubameyang!

Great pass Luiz, nice touch Özil, great assist Lacazette.
