I think Šesko of the two. Havertz is on the pitch now, so with a pre-season he can start the season. He is so tactically important and I’m happy with him as an option up front. He is coming off an injury though so probably can’t and shouldn’t play every minute. That’s an ideal playing situation for Šesko, time to learn the system but also some playing time needed from the off.
RB haven’t made champions league so are going to be slightly less bullish about keeping him. He will want to go and play UCL I think.
It’s all there for us and we need to make it happen imo.
I just think with Gyokeres because of his age and experience he comes in and plays. No excuses, no questions. He’ll probably either hit the ground running or be indifferent. He’ll bring goals no question and experience.
With Sesko he’s actually younger than saka and others. Thats a lot of pressure because next season because we have to win or major pressure arrives. On a football level Gyokeres on a financial level it’s Sesko however it’s a close call.
Yeah that’s fair enough. A strong argument I’d be swayed by. Generally I’d be against the temptation for short term options at any point, but if you asked me about a 30+ Henrik Larsson or Ibrahimovic when Utd signed them I’d have talked about short termism and been proved dead wrong and 26/27 is in his prime not past it.
You just don’t want Šesko to become Isak mark II and to have missed out again.
Gyokeres at 15-20M cheaper probably allows us to get more in elsewhere too.
