are you actually in a transit van Pete?

I thought someone would make that connection at some point, however it's not, it's because Kingston doesn't apply anymore as we moved out of there in July, and we've been living temporarily (in Kennington) since. This state of affairs has gone on too long due to our having to wait patiently for the right property to come up that ticks all boxes (we've seen around 30 odd in the last few months). as i'd have to change my name again when we move 'Pete in Transit' it is for now

Bernard. I seem to recall you saying that you were very pleased with the draw and that you made us the favourites. Can I ask a question, how many time have you seen Milan play this season? And why are they the second easiest team to draw after Porto? The fact that they are the current holders and thrashed Man Utd at home last season, doesnt that come into the equation?

They are a pretty old team that is a year older than the side that beat Man Utd and Liverpool last season. I've seen them every time they've been on Channel 5's Sunday match and in Champions League programmes, however many times that is, and have been underwhelmed by them. And I feel they're the second easiest team after Porto because we could otherwise have got Real Madrid, Barcelona or Inter, and I see them all as harder than Milan.

So yes, I am quite pleased with the draw considering Porto are the only side I would rather have been drawn against.

John, I'm assuming what with the Irish jigger and your posts about hurling earlier that you're a bit of an expert on all things Irish? See, I have a question;

A few years back (late 2004 I think) I heard an interview on Swedish radio with what I think was the daughter of the President of Ireland, she had just come out with a book or something. Anyway, she had the loveliest Irish accent I've ever heard, but I can't seem to find out what her name is. Or if I'm actually mistaken and it's a completely different person.

Any clue?

Everything feels really big in here, like it's a forum for the partially sighted or something.

Harlow, have you been running riot in your photo album or something??

That would be Celia Ahern, Bertie's daughter. Pretty sure she married one of the Westlife guys. Nice looking girl.

Bertie is our taoiseach btw or prime misister if you prefer. Our President is Mary McAleese, but the presidential role in Ireland is mainly ceremonial.

Hi

If , when you click submit, it shows new messages, that is by design - it does this to show someone that new messages have been posted whilst you were compiling your own message. This gives you the chance to update/append your message based on what other posters have just written. I'm not sure if it can be turned off (I'll find out), but in the meantime, just scroll down below those posts (if there are any) and then click submit again.

No worries, the lawn doesn't mow itself after all, and I bet you have spent a lot of time (which is always in short supply) getting the all singing, all dancing site up.

Thanks once again.

Ah, thanks.

It could very well have been the "prime minister" and not the president. As I said, this was a few years ago, and I heard it in the car on my way to work in the morning so I wasn't fully awake!

Edit: Managed to find some YouTube clips. Her accent is like music to my ears!

We Dubs have a World Class accent, no doubt about it. Unfortunately the same can't be said for our bogger and northie relations.

Makes you wonder about Old Trafford Pizzagate...

Apparently in amatch against man Utd at OT after a first half of being kicked by Steve Bruce... Ian Wright ran up the stairs and hid behind the wall. When Bruce Walked up, Ian Wright smacked him right in the hooter and made it bleed big time...

Later when seeing his nose was all red, Ian Wright asked Steve Bruce how he did it...

Source Arsenal TV interview by Bob Wilson with Paul Merson...

Tupac, I don't know why this is bothering you so much. I think we've got a better chance of beating Milan than Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter, so I'm pretty happy with the draw. It'll be tough, very tough, but I'd have said we would only have a better chance of beating Porto than Milan, from all the teams we could have been drawn against. All your points are legitimate, but I fancy us to get through. I wouldn't have been saying that had we got Madrid or Barcelona.

Why do people in the north always loose the capability of communicating in a proper way? Just listen to people from Liverpool. Or, if you know Swedish, people from Norbotten. My grandparents live there, and half the time I don't understand a word they're saying.

Can't speak for Swedish people but with the Irish northeners it's usually down to them being pissed all the time

So, contrary to popular belief, that's just the case with the northeners, and not all Irish people?

Yes - Google now indexes this page and updates it's database about this place - it does this *very* often

So when people do searches in Google, then it can list this page if their are any search 'hits'.

Actually, anyone can create a search engine (Yep - anyone) - the real trick to it is to have the money to be able to afford the bandwidth to constantly index the web for new content. Poor search companies cannot search the web as often as it costs more $$ - this is why Google has the best search results as it updates very frequently (some sites hourly') while other search companies cannot afford to do so.

The two cowboys at the car thieves in a statement come clean and confess to trying to get Klinsman to take over from Benitez. But, the German turned them down flat.
Rafa has both our support, says Hicks .
That must be a relief to Rotating Rafa, he can sleep soundly tonight!
