:36angers:

I hope that isn't an indicator of how this game is going to pan out.

Yellow for Raya for time wasting. Ref is reacting to the crowd there.

Has the ref just told us we can’t have our throw and have them a throw instead because he thought we were taking too long to take it? Is that even in a laws?

Peno from a quick throw :42laughter:

I’m with the ref, just give it the other way after 15 seconds.

Penalty to us. How is Diomande not sent off for a second yellow. It’s a clear yellow card tackle right through the back of Ødegaard

It was mooted in the rules. Better than a yellow

Edit: it’s been proposed that take too long over a goal
Kick and instead of a yellow for the gk it’s a corner. I’m all for it.

Shouldn't Diomande get his second yellow for that tackle?

4-1 Saka pen.

Absolutely annoyed that Diomande is not sent off though. Pathetic, it’s like the ref thinks the penalty is enough but it is a clear yellow card tackle anywhere on the pitch.

Yes get in!!!
4 1!!!!
But please let's stop wasting time on throw inside and goal kicks.
I'm worried we are asking for trouble with getting the refs back up and picking up silly yellows.
Just cut it out!

I don’t mind it as a rule I just don’t think it is currently - but will be happily corrected

Yes I didn’t think it had been implemented either. But I’m happy for that to have happened rather than a yellow card for Timber.

Ødegaard looks a bit tired this half. Martinelli and rice off for Trossard and merino but I’d be looking to give Ødegaard a rest after the time he’s spent out. 4-1 up with 20 mins to go we can afford to protect him

Calafiori has looked more controlled in the last two games, just toned down the aggression a bit and it’s helped him

That’s why I like Gyokeres. Long ball up, he held it up and turned Saliba then drove forward, outpaced Kiwior and hit the post. He’s not had much to work with today

Raya has had to make a few smart saves from some shots from range. Good concentration

That first half reminded me of a lesson we were given by Bayern a few seasons ago...masterclass!

Bloody brilliant tonight. I’d have taken a draw before the game. I think that was our best 11, and the strength coming off the bench was good as well.

Time to go on a serious run now

Spectacular performance all round, and it is hard to single out any player. But Partey was quite brilliant tonight, as was Timber. And Gabriel and Saliba of course. Raya bring such calm and his distribution and shot stopping are first rate.

City blowing a three goal lead :laughing7: :laughing7:

Brilliant performance tonight, one of the best away in europe for many a year.

Saka and Ødegaard were sublime. Both virtually unplayable.

Imagine if we had a player on the left with the wizardry of Saka, we'd be some team.

I know Gyokores didn't score but I was actually quite impressed by him. I reckon he could be a monster in our team.
