What's left to say, this is a nightmare.

This match was never going to be seriously contested. This is one of those matches you forget immediately after, and not let it affect the short term strategy of what Freddie is trying to do. You have to look at this match the same as Real Madrid or Juve or PSG coming in for a match. You do the best you can, if it goes sideways, you forget it about right after the whistle as if it never happened.

Yeah if it carries on like this it will be 7 or 8 nil. Need something to break for us and players to rise to the challenge far more. If we’re lucky it could be as good as 5-2!

The gulf in class between our players and their players is just way too much. Not just in skill but in attitude as well.

The commentator remarked upon the difference between De Bruyne and Özil and it is there for all to see. I'd take Özil off and put an extra midfielder in there and try to stifle City a bit.

We've got no defence and to be fair the fullbacks are receiving little protection.

Guendouzi's defensive shortcomings are being ruthlessly exposed.

It really is a sad state of affairs.

Seem to recall a mauling by City towards the end of Barnacle Wenger's groundhog demise when they took the foot off the gas after getting a big lead. I was convinced that Guardiola told them to take it easy out of pity for Wenger. Don't expect them to show any such mercy this second half.

City are surprisingly aggressive in the challenge without sticking legs in so giving away less fouls than you’d think when closing in on Pépé and co on the wings.

Just accept you’re inferior, work hard to keep the score down and take notes on how it should be done. Take your medicine, this is what happens when mediocrity and bad management set it.

It’s really odd watching the team now. Impossible to get involved or invested in it at any level. Just a kind of curious detachment (probably as a defence mechanism).

The three goals, plus the almost fourth that Leno saved, followed a pattern. Simply running/passing through the Arsenal players without anyone getting remotely close to them. Remarkable.

Indeed no one knows how to tackle.

Don’t even get close enough to tackle.

The second goal, I think we had 4-5 players around the guy who crossed it in, and one defender standing off their single attacker

Kolasinac didn't have a clue where Sterling was.

We’d do much better with Leno plus ten Martinellis.

How the hell do you get a manager worth his salt to come in and manage this squad/most of these individuals?
Is Arteta (not saying he's the best choice/option) sat there thinking "I can't wait to take this job on"?

And therein lies part of our problem.....a very highly paid player does f all in the game and petulantly reacts to being subbed. What a *%^@ attitude and it runs through this team like a yellow streak.

Ljungberg’s expression says it all. Like he can’t believe the awfulness of some of our players.

Years of ignoring the defensive part of the game beautifully demonstrated in one half of football. Will City have an easier game? I almost want us to get relegated bt i don't think we'll come straight back up.

Kroenke out

How many yellows for them? Is there still a rule that says 5 yellows gets a fine for not controlling their players?

How are they allowed to get away with it?

How many players did we lose today?

I didn't feel anger today, I just felt sadness. It wasn't even a lack of effort, it was men against boys physically and mentally.

Not sure where we go from here. A peak Alex Ferguson would struggle to get a tune out of this lot.

We need a big clear-out and the kind of investment only City and United can make. Not going to happen under the current regime.

I actually think that in a decent team, where his occasional aberrations could be indulged, Pépé could be a really exciting player.

Martinelli barely got a pass in the second half. What a waste of a talent.

At least FL hooked Özil, hopefully that’ll be the last we see of him. Other than that it’s pretty grim.

The players need to pretend this match never happened. I won't be surprised if we end up mid table. It won't be the end of the world. It will seem like it but it won't be. The fact is Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea, have all been there and/are there.

I wonder how the Kroenke's will react? That's the most important thing. We can not change things from the middle down, it MUST come from the top down. The Glaziers learned that. Man Utd fans don't complain about them any longer. The Glaziers just hire the best football men, send a blank check and shut up.

Correct on the first ...wrong on the second .

Other teams can pass the ball accurately ...we cannot .
We have only two options ...f***%%$ around playing the Chambers , Sokratis , Chambers , Sokratis , Maitland Niles , Leno triangles or .... the hopeful Hoof

...... and until someone solves this Wenger legacy we will struggle .

We don't need huge investment .... Norwich beat City ; Newcastle got a draw with them just last week .

We need the clear out and a decent manager .

I'm not saying Ljungberg had to punch Guardiola at games end but his all smiles and prolonged conversation isn't the reaction I'd expect from a manager whose side had just been so humiliated .

Why the hell I just invested in Spark with Premier League coverage is beyond me I'm going to cancel that as soon as possible .

Out of the mouths of babes .... I've just lamented to Mrs Kiwi ..she who supposedly knows little about football .
me ...."We were totally outplayed it was like men against seven year olds "
Mrs Kiwi ... I think there is far too much money in the sport these days ... players don't have to put in a lot of effort . They are rewarded whether they perform or not , there should be lower wages and a bonus system .

Well there you have it ....anyway I've made a token gesture I've cancelled my Premier TV subscription .

F***& Arsenal I'll view from afar .

Lacazette's face said it all near the end "I'm not on the pitch and I have to watch this sh**t .

Freddie reckons we played quite well in the second half ... really .

China cancelled coverage of our match and screened Wolves v Spurs instead after Özil's comments .

Probably all Arsenal merchandise heading for a landfill somewhere .

Chambers was lazy and woeful in the first 2 goals. The fact is he is not good enough in that position even at Fulham. The fact Freddie picked him suggests that Freddie has no idea of what players are capable of.

People talk about starting again. Then I want Bould Ljunberg & others out as well because they are part of the no care no responsibility culture at the club.

It takes 3-5 years to change culture in any organisation. We haven’t even started yet. If we really put in an effort to change we will be bottom half for the next 2 seasons at least. And we have to find a manager first. The Wenger legacy, like Ferguson’s at Man U is really taking some effort to clear. Every easy going player has the potential to harm our new purchases by making them think just collect the wages & take it easy.

There are even some young players now who will pass in a triangle rather than try something difficult.

Disappointed in Freddie & a lot of the players.

Back from the game

Don’t know what to say really. I thought Torreira tried his best and only him, Martinelli and Kolasinac came away with any credit.

The defending is just crazy, especially for their 2nd goal.

The crowd aren’t helping, the atmosphere is toxic and whilst it’s disappointing I’m not sure constantly booing the team off helps.

Freddie was right hooking Özil who was terrible and moaning about being subbed is just ludicrous.

Where do we go from here ? We need a new manager but the size of the task is huge. This is a complete rebuild job.

I think the issue we have to fix ASAP is to get a couple of full backs on loan ASAP. We are all over the place in those positions and now have serious injuries.

Make no mistake this is a massive crisis that will take years to fix.

Torreira was getting tackles in and at least was was breaking up their rhythm to some extent. The defence is constantly criticised but I think midfield is a bigger problem and if we got two good midfielders in, with the right coaching, we would improve to a huge extent. You just can't play with a dysfunctional midfield. Guendouzi is a promising kid but he's not a teenage Fabregas, Wilshere or Ramsey.
