Once again a ref who isn’t consistent. That is a clear yellow for Pogba.

That yellow takes a huge amount out of Pogba’s game. He just clotheslined Ramsey!

Not been a good weekend for refs has it. Hoping Moss doesn't screw ours up too.

Not a thing from the ref.
Young over the ball down on an ankle not even a free kick! Amazingly bad from Moss today

I didnt think it was a penalty but I will take it. Didnt like seeing Aubie take the PK and dont like him taking it regularly but it went in.

I'm still not secure we will get a win.

First decision that Moss has given us for a while. Nice to get the big one.

Aargh. So close Lacazette drags it wide from a superb position.

Indeed not. Very few teams, let alone Arsenal, seem secure at 2-0 these days.

Still, it feel a %^&* load more secure than 1-0. Fingernails were taking punishment!

At last, an arsenal player feels a nudge and goes down in the box to make the ref make a decision. Lacazette probably annoyed by all those not given for him this season

The subs have more of a pre-season friendly feel to them.

Still, I have a suspicion that Emery may know what he is doing, albeit we do not.

Goal differential as well as points over Man Utd. Our last 8 matches are games outside the top 6 clubs ac orting to the pundits. Man Utd have City and Chelsea he said (I'm not going to look it up).

We have only lost one match at home, the opening match versus City according to the pundit on TV. If so, the question begs after seeing this result 'Is the stadium now a fortress? Nothing will be like Highbury but are we now a tough club to beat at home?'

So....
1. How confident is anyone about our chances of getting top 4?
2. How confident is anyone about us catching sperz?

Moderately confident of both (especially since Spurs will hate the feeling of our hot breath down their neck), if we don't have another injury/suspension crisis. Also fairly confident (70/30) of getting past Rennes.

In retrospect, we we all too ready to slit our wrists when things went a little wobbly mid-season.

Always great to have a win and we owe them that and more.

They had their chances and we were very, very lucky. Leno saved us a few times, Sokratis and a couple others were immense. But had any of their chances got in it would have been a different match.

We gave a patchwork defense. Its a crime a club of our size is hard pressed to get quality defenses in.

Great result and a very bold team selection from Emery. I think the line up and formation will have surprised solksjaer and forced him to change his shape after 20 mins. Tactical victory to Emery

No coincidence that in our 3 home victories over spurs, Chelsea and Man U that we’ve started fast and with intensity AND got an early goal in each game.

To pick out a few performances today.
I thought Lacazette hold up play and all round game was really good. So pleased he finally got a bit ruthless for the penalty. Kane and salah and countless others do that every week and are told it’s clever.
AMN stepped up at RWB, made a couple of mistakes but was always back to make the covering tackle. Thought his general positioning was good.
Xhaka and Ramsey dominated the midfield. The only thing Pogba did was get frustrated and lash out a couple of times
Leno again with a couple of crucial blocks. In terms of shot stopping and 1v1’s he’s right up there with the best in the league for me. I think people forget how many big saves he’s made at crucial points in games

This race for 4th is going to go to the wire. All the others have top 6 games left to play, but we still have all the best of the rest to play away from home. Gut feeling is 6 wins from our remaining 8 games is what is needed

You can't be confident with this Arsenal team but we are in with a great chance for Top 4. Looking back on the game at OT and last weekend at Wembley, we could have been in a really strong position.

It was great to beat them today. The game really could have gone either way and Moss was laughably inept. Nobody would have called it before the game, but the big difference between the teams was the keepers, with our guy being the top man on the day.

A word for AMN too. He was excellent. I don't understand why he hasn't been given any run in central midfield.

I’d have liked to have seen him in CM in the early European games or cup games, unfortunately he was injured or needed at full back.
Also, I’m not yet convinced he has that control of a game, the 97%+ pass completion rate etc just yet.

Have I missed something? I thought AMN was our worst player today. In my view he's a first team regular at a club at the West Ham, Newcastle type level. Not at a club expected to compete for trophies. A decent back up squad player for Arsenal.

What a great signing Leno has been. A terrific shot stopper, who I'd fancy to have kept the Xhaka shot out that de Gea let in.

I went to the game but it came as a surprise to hear on the way home that an Arsenal fan was nicked for invading the pitch to have a go at Smalling. I simply didn't notice it at the time.

He's a fantastic shotstopper, great with his feet, he just needs to work on dealing with crosses which is his achilles heel.

I don't see his dealing with crosses as a big problem. I accept he isn't Jennings at his peak with crosses. But he's pretty damn good with them; think about Ospina and Fabianski. Not even remotely comparable.
