Aubameyang unnecessarily made everyone anxious with those 2 misses. :)

Is there a rule that you get booked for wearing a mask in celebration? If there is then can you get booked for those over eleborate handshake routines some players do?

Also if this is a rule, why is it a rule? Why is the taking your shirt off = yellow still a rule.

Utter nonsense and sucking the joy out of football

If the goal difference and points were the same, they would be joint top. But the goal difference is not the same, which makes Bayern top at this point in time.

Glad we beat those cheating *&!?, they spent half the game rolling around on the floor hoping we'd go down to 10 like in the first game.

Why can you not understand that the games are played over a season so until the season is over the weekly results are irrelevant.

So you think "the weekly results are irrelevant" until the season is over. That's possibly one of the most idiotic things I've read here. Every point won or dropped, and every goal scored and conceded in every single match over the entire season, will contribute to a team's final position.

Well done boys. Several good performances, I thought the 3 centre backs were really resolute.

I agree bromley, they were. AMN had a superb first half today.

Phew! Got there in the end but a nervy last few minutes and I thought we made hard work of it second half.

AMN was terrific. So too Kola.

Aubameyang's mask celebebration annoyed me a little because there was still work to be done and he seemed to lose focus after that.

Still cant see us winning it to be honest. We blow hot and cold too much and are capable of conceding at any moment. All depends on who we draw.

Job done. After we hit them like an express train in the opening 15 mins I don’t think I ever felt like the result was in doubt.
Rennes probably didn’t do themselves any favours by concentrating on trying to get one of our players sent off rather than actually playing and attacking because they were not half bad at times but lacked any final shot that would trouble Čech.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Napoli, Frankfurt, Slavic Prague, Valencia, Villarreal, benfica left in for the QF draw.

Frankfurt or Prague would probably be the easiest. Hope Napoli and Chelsea draw each other

Very happy and relieved and despite getting those 2 early goals(we have scored a lot of early goals recently) it was still very tense and nervy.
Was gutted after the first leg so this feels sweet.
Cheating unlikeable team that Rennes team are.
As for Ben Arfa the little c***. Maybe take the piss after you have gone through and not before.
Whoever we draw we must do better in the away leg.
Might be a step too far next time.
Another impressive display by AMN.
Defence were solid too..
Great news Inter and Seville are out.

Chelsea and Napoli would be the hardest draw for us but we're more than capable of beating either. I'd make us favourites against any of the others. I can see us winning the Europa League.

Watching the game from the Fox and Hounds in LA. Not sure if he's still the owner but an Arsenal fan and former Palace player (I think) owns/owned it.

That's me...right there...can't miss me...haha

Good to remain winning after the euphoria of beating MU, carry on going strong Arsenal!

Shout out to AMN & Kolasinac!

Maybe I am missing something but was it worth getting booked for it. Not like he was asking for world peace or god forbid a brexit deal.

On another issue terrible going ons in your homeland. The world can be a very bad place at times.

It seems ridiculous indeed. However, I suppose a line has to be drawn somewhere. You can't have players disrobing or making what could be construed as political statements. It's too potentially inflammatory.

Absolutely. But I think.... bookings expire after the quarterfinals, and Aubameyang only has the one, so there is no risk of picking up a suspension?

Oh, so that is how it works.

I think we are really getting somewhere in this debate.

I think we'll beat any of them at home. We need to make sure we can draw to any of them away.

I haven't been a fan of the back 5 when we've played it because we've often played with 2 or more holding mids with little goal/assist potential, but a back 5 with AMN and Kola flying forward AND all of Özil/Ramsey/Aubamayang/Lacazette on the pitch is much more attacking. A goal and an assist from the wing backs last night is exactly what you need from them.

Talk of City getting a 2 transfer window transfer ban for the same rule break that Chelsea were punished for.

Thanks for the clarification. It probably is of little concern then.

Today would this get Stan a ten game ban? Famous moment when players decide to read a match programme while waiting for a corner.

Could that be in the same fantasy world as Jacob Rees-Mogg dining on pie and mash; getting a Merry Christmas card from ISIS and Tottenham winning the league?

Wasn't Chelsea's a second charge? If so they should get more than Man City?

and I fail to see why anyone outside the military should be able to own any kind of automatic rifle/pistol or large magazines of bullets.
Outlaw it and if someone is caught in possession then off to jail for intent to murder, no questions asked. Almost certain that this would reduce the likelihood.

Only a few days ago Tim Berners-Lee Was warning about the dangers of the internet and now you’ve got a madman killing innocent people and live streaming it on Facebook then the subsequent footage being screened on twitter for everyone to see.

Facebook is now being used as a political tool for all sorts and Cambridge Analytica used it to create a momentum behind Brexit.

I seriously think technology has gone too far and these companies are culpable. Regulation and legislation is needed and quickly.

I hope those who perished today rest in peace.

I think it is fair to say that Monchi will have to recover his previous form to be success.

https://www.goal.com/en/news/a-warning- ... 91ckrlogf6

Mislitat should have been retained after what I think was a very successful offseason recruiting campaign.
