Much better from Gyökeres, that’s the sort of play that earned him the move.

Gyökeres a lot better this half. Trossard has made a huge difference.

Weren't we cracking down on wrestling in the box? That's a possible penalty for Gyorkeres.

Trossard is our best left winger for the prem. maybe Martinelli is the best for the champions league

There's something from Gyökeres - good hold up turn and shot. Few more touches this half generally. He's also a warm body with functional uninjured limbs so he's got a lot going for him in this squad!

Hwang’s a lucky boy there

Red card in modern game

Poor from VAR. He’s totally out of control and I don’t think the ‘pulling out’ mitigates it

This is terrible. We got away with it and have not concentrated. This will be a huge boost to all our rivals. We’re throwing away everything good we’ve done

Pricks. Given up the league. Awful awful performance in every metric. To get pushed back with over 10 minutes to go against this wolves at only 1-0 up. Unbelievable

Why do we sit back like that? What a calamitous evening.

Got out of Jail big time there

These kind of three points are vital, utterly vital

A win with a worrying wake up call. Looks like the Villa loss took the air out of our lungs. Lots of players rusty from not playing or being injured. Need to galvanise and quickly.

I take joy from the 3 points but I also take joy from the excitement turning to despair of our rival fans watching that.

When you’re a rival fan and that happens you’re gutted and feel like these good teams are just inevitable that they win. But when it’s you’re own team you feel incredibly lucky and anything but inevitable

Arteta got the selection wrong. Eze is understandable butTrossard needs to start.

We're missing big Gabby badly.

So much for an easy run.

we talk about the rub of the green for other teams. That was as much luck as you’re ever going to get in a match.

Eze and Gyökeres haven’t improved us one bit.

First full weeks rest and training for the team in ages. Needs to be a proper response at Everton.

Saka bailed us out with his brilliant delivery

Its also satisfying that we have somehow limped our way through such a terrible injury crisis without dropping too many points. We had a strong bench today and Arteta used it well.

Trossard had a knock v Villa, don’t think he’s 100%.
Eze maybe suits the more open games and Ødegaard suits the deep defences

Yep finally a bit of a break and think the team as a whole could do with a proper rest.

Arteta mentioned in his post match that we were far too passive so am expecting a different turnout for Everton.

Wolves were clearly never going to be as bad as they were at home to Man U, they attacked Man U for a start and left themselves open. But when you play as they did there your professional pride is questioned so they were always going to come and sit in and do the basics and work hard. It shouldn’t have been close irrespective.

Time for a reset. Desperately need Gabriel back

Arteta bangs on about winning duels, in the build up to wolves goal we lost countless duels for 2 minute straight.

Also Saka contested 10 duels in the match and won all 10, the only player to win 100% of 10+ duels in 10 years of prem games.

We need players to stand up and win us games in difficult moments - Saka did that tonight

Also 3 players not closing down the Wolves player crossing the ball for their goal. Easily preventable.

Let’s not forget City were 2-0 up against Leeds at home, got pegged back to 2-2 and needed a stoppage time winner for the 3 points. This is a tough league.

I'll celebrate the win and the 3 points :26encouragement:

But a few opinions:

MLS offers more when he plays. Why is Arteta not playing him? Any Slot-Salah parallel here?

Jesus offers more than Gyökeres. The way he moves about and gets away from defenders. Gyökeres drops whenever hauled. Jesus has much better mobility. Come on, Gyökeres, I'm waiting to eat humble pie. When will I?

Why or why did we allow Wolves those minutes before their equaliser? Nobody out to disrupt them. We just waited and waited.

Okay, back to celebrations. 3 points, yay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If Ben white is out for a while then we need to play Josh Nichols in the league cup tie. Timber needs protecting

Forgotten man - Raheem Sterling - Chelsea are still liable to pay Sterling £25m in wages before the end of his contract
