Croatia has more outright dislikable players - Lovren, Mandzukic, Vida etc and they are generally uglier and there's the whiff of fascism still around their football establishment so going with France although I hate Griezmann's fortnite dance and think most of the French team are planks so it's hard really. |

Football hopefully evolves and speeds up the video review process. It slowed down the game initially in the NFL. Then they had referees who did nothing but immediately review questionable plays which rendered a decision in seconds. Not always but usually it kept the game moving. This decision took too long but its early days getting used to the technology and incorparating it. |

Croatia isnt afraid of them thats for sure. You gotta think France thought it was already a foregone conclusion and have to realize they have a fight on their hands. Another 2 or 3 goals and a red card wouldnt surprise me. |

Mourinho as he often does (Martial, Oscar) kills the confidence of good players. The French team got Pogba's confidence back. There was talk he was going to be sold but now Mourinho will probably keep him. |

No more 3 goals have ever been scored in a WC final I think. No team has ever scored twice and lost obviously. This match broke a few records. I predicted 3-1 France before the game but have to hand it to the Croats. They fought and hopefully after it all settles in over time they will see they have nothing to be ashamed of and have every right to be proud. |

I feel for Croatia. I started off wanting France to win but by halftime my fickle allegience had switched to Croatia who were playing really well. Nothing went for them today, Lloris clanger aside, but they battled on a deserved better. |

As it turned out, Croatia played some very good stuff and France were very lucky. I hope Deschamps steps down and France get a manager who will really let these players loose. |

Pleased in the end France one. Nobody’s favourite team outside France really but they provided some good games and moments and beat good opposition. Croatia just not very likeable, ground out results, and Lovren is an almighty wanker. |
